I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the recent purchase of a WD NAS 4TB HDD from your store on Amazon. Unfortunately, the product I received was defective, and my overall experience has been nothing short of frustrating. I feel it is essential to inform potential buyers about my negative experience to prevent others from facing similar issues. I strongly advise against purchasing from your store and will be sharing my experience on other platforms to raise awareness. I urge you to take immediate action to improve the quality of your products and the level of customer service provided. Customers deserve transparency and reliability, and my experience with your store has fallen short on both fronts. I hope this feedback serves as a wake-up call for your business to address these issues promptly.

This disk drive was not detected by Synology NAS although it is in compatible list. Testing with other computer found it to be in uninitialized state.....all attempts to initialize failed due to IO error. It was not even detected in Western Digital dashboard that shows diagnostics.

I recieved the HDD in poor packaging and the drive was not working. On that note, I decided to buy this particular model of drive locally. To my surprise, I had to exchange 4 drive before I could get a drive that was functioning. These drives inherently seem to be defective. The noise of the hdd head is quite prominent compared to other drives.

Bought 4, out of which these 2 Drive are defective, My NAS, WDMYCLOUDpr4100 didn't detect these 2. Checked it with my PC show I/O error and these 2 are not detectable. You can he a chuckling sound in the drive.

Just sending defective item and creting unnecessary hassle since this is non returnable item.

Both the disk ordered were defective. Don’t buy from this seller.

Arrive well and fast. Performance wise is also is typically of WD quality.

Ich habe dies Festplatte für meinen WD NAS Speicher gekauft, weil die originale immer auf Störung ging. Am Anfang war ich skeptisch ob diese Platte passt und auch funktioniert alleine schon weil sie ja nicht gerade billig ist. Nun ist sie schon einige Monate im Dienst und funktioniert einwandfrei. Es gab bisher keine größere Probleme. Sie ist auch sehr leise, so das man kaum etwas hört, wenn Daten drauf gespielt werden. (Bei normalen Umgebungslautstärke. Wenn natürlich alles leise ist z.b. Nachts) hört man sie natürlich schon etwas intensiver. Da sie aber bei uns im Treppenhaus zentral steht, ist das für uns nichts negatives. Würden wir auch jederzeit wieder kaufen bei Ausfall oder wenn wir unseren Speicher vergrößern möchten.

I have been purchasing HDDs for many decades now and I am sticking to the Western Digital brand because I trust WD to reliably store my data (all personal, including many TB of family video). Some HDDs are on 24/7 with constant access and can get hot, especially when the ambient temperature is high during summer, and I choose WD Red for these more demanding uses. As a personal user, I carefully pick the size and style (e.g. Green Blue Black Red, Red Plus, Red Pro) to give the best price per TB and performance for intended usage. I am paranoid about preserving data and have a rigorous strategy of redundant usage and multiple backups which I have had to prove on occasions due to human error. I do not expect HDDs, from any brand, to last forever though some are still going strong after 20 years with no hint of degradation. In my experience, a few % of HDDs start to show signs of problems after 5 years, and I constantly monitor the raw read error count. These WD HDDs keep going reliably with 100% data integrity for years after the first signs of problems, allowing me time to choose how to retire/replace. I have never had a WD HDD fail catastrophically, it is always a graceful degradation, hence why I trust WD to look after my data.

HDDなので、それなり。初期不良もないようですがそんな短時間では評価できない。 ただ、納期がかなり長い上に予告された遅い方の納期よりさらに2日ほど遅延した。 配達日が決まってから希望の配達時間に2度変更したが、そに2日遅延した理由が私の希望なんだと都合のいい解釈をサポートの対応して下さった方はしていた。 幸せな人なんだなぁと思った。(苦)

Hasta el momento ha sido muy buena elección, no me ha dado problemas de lectura, lo que sí recomendaría, comprar una funda USB para no tener que comprar adaptadores, de ahí en más, excelente producto. Sólo al momento de recibirla me di cuenta de que no le habían puesto material de embalaje que evitara que rebotara en su traslado, lo cual le hice saber al vendedor, espero a futuro, no me falle por esta situación, ya que los golpes, siento que afectan este tipo de equipos, de ahí en Fuera, sin problema .
