Mouse feels solid and very good so far.
I bought this mouse in Mar 2023, I am using it so far and I have only changed battery once. I used Duracell Ultra AAA, last month I replaced it with Duracell normal one which we are getting now a days. I have dropped it several times from my table and the body has opened and I had to fix it, just by pressing it. It locks back perfect. I am a software engineer for past 17 years, due to occupational side effects, I have elbow pain and wrist pain, which made me to buy this mouse. I have used wired ergo mouses before, which has worked only for 3 months or less. To be honest, I did not have any hope on this mouse before purchasing it, now I came to purchase again and I see loads of bad reviews on it. Which scares me to buy again. I am trying to buy it for a backup, as my current mouse is still working fine only. May be first time was like beginners luck and I got the solid piece, now I am scared to buy another.

Good but...
It's having similar look of one of the Logitech vertical mouse with a 1/40th price. So, if you want to try if vertical mouse will work for you, you can give it a try because this one is a lot cheaper. It looks ergonomic, can feel it too, but the speed and operating of moving the mouse may come down compared to regular mouse due to the hand movement, design and size of the mouse. i.e, we will not be able to get to operate the mouse faster especially for the horizontal moves. Automatically sleeps if not used for some time to save battery which is good. Clicking sound is there. Vertical scrolling speed is good. Not suitable for left-handers. It may take a bit of time to get used to. Overall ok. But I still want to go for Logi M331 regular model mouse, which I bought for my daughter, is very ergonomic (for right handers) with almost zero sound and easy to navigate. Update: I have packed it and gone back to my regular traditional mouse because I'm not able to manoeuvre it as fast as I used to do it with the regular mouse. Now, I'm looking to buy Logi M331.

Go for it!!
Been using it for a while now, completely lost the pain in my hand because of the normal mouse. Very easy to use, the quality is great, very smooth working of the mouse, clicks nicely. Highly recommended

Ergonomic But with a Major Flaw (Updated)
The mouse seems like a replica of the Logitech MX Vertical mouse (that is at least 10x as expensive). Which means ergonomics is great. It's comfortable to hold and the keys and buttons are well-placed. The keys are audibly clicky. Not too loud but not as silent and soft as are in Logitech Lift. The scroll wheel makes a little bit of noise that is not expected from even an affordable mouse but it works fine. It runs on two AAA batteries which are not included. A 2.4ghz dongle is housed inside the mouse, so travelling with this shouldn't be an issue. The mouse also goes into stand-by automatically after several minutes of non-usage to save battery. There is however one major flaw: the mouse cursor skips (jumps) when using. This gets annoying quite soon since the mouse cursor is often not where you expect it to be. On one occasion I ended up accidentally closing a window when trying to click on something else because the mouse had jumped (skipped) to a corner on its own. I have owned a Logitech G402 and Logitech Lift mouse and never faced this issue on the same mousepad (a gaming mat), so it's clearly an issue with the mouse's sensor. I've asked for a replacement (since no refunds are offered), so will update this review after I receive the new mouse. Till then it's a 1-star from me since it gets the ergonomics right but messes up the primary thing that it's supposed to do: move the cursor accurately. (PS: It also does not allow you to customise the extra buttons since Portronics does not offer a software like Logitech. The two side buttons are mapped to forward and backward which in this age of use-and-throw browser tabs is a pointless feature. The DPI button is also pointless since that is a feature used by gamers more than anyone (when sniping) and this is definitely not a good gaming mouse. Fortunately, I was able to re-map the side buttons using AutoHotkey but not the DPI button.) Update: I got a replacement mouse but it also skips/jumps. The replacement mouse was from the same batch (batch #0123), so if you get a mouse from a different batch your mileage may vary. For now, it seems it's an issue with the mouse's hardware so I'm returning it again. Amazon was nice enough to place a refund request (instead of a replacement) this time. Will look elsewhere for an affordable vertical mouse.

Must read before buying.
Pros: Price point, make and feel Cons: No batteries supplied. No feedback of DPI setting, once it goes in standby mode, you cannot wake up by moving and needs power on-off couple of times to start again, it is hard to carry in laptop bag this product is non-returnable. Detailed review: I found this (or perhaps any) vertical mouse to cause more strain than a conventional mouse because I have to apply sideways pressure from the thumb to click the mouse, thus adding unnecessary strain versus just clicking downwards on a regular mouse. Lifting vertical mouses is also challenging considering their shape, so I find I have to once again squeeze abnormally hard to lift the mouse without it slipping. But that stressful sideways clicking pressure you have to constantly fight, in my opinion, negates all the benefits of the more natural hand position, which was supposed to make using the mouse less stressful for the hand in the first place. With this mouse the strain is not reduced but is just transferred elsewhere, which over time may still cause RSI. Also, you have to use it with only right hand, whereas with a regular mouse I could change hands to destress. Also note that the keyboard is till flat and not vertical. The best way, therefore, in my opinion, is to keep switching between the input devices, like for 10 minutes use the touchpad, then the next minutes the mouse, then the track point and so on. Being mindful is the key to prevent stress related injuries, be it in wrist or otherwise. Break at regular intervals and stretch.

Best ergonomic mouse
VEry sturdy. It fell once from half a meter and was perfectly fine. I have 3 ergo mouses in 1k range and this 500 rs one is better than all of them. Zebronics, live tech and redgear. Quality of zebronics is best. 1200 dpi is teh sweet spot and best for casual use instead of 1600 dpi provided by others for gaming. 2 batteries had to be installed and it has worked flawlessly. So smooth i cannot believe it tbh. Best blind buy for egro mouse choice. Classy look too.

Not so good mouse
The vertical mouse has good ergonomics. However, it has got 2 problems. I am using 2 AAA NiMH rechargeable battery. However, the batteries need to be recharged every ~2 months. This is too short a battery life. Secondly, the mouse has been under mild to moderate use for less than a year. However, already the scroll wheel has almost stopped working. A standard mouse (e.g., Dell MS116) don't show such effects for several years. For me, it was an experiment to use this mouse for better ergonomics in a budget. However, given the above, I do not think it is worthy to face issues in less than a year. Better to buy a standard mouse in place of this.

Used this mouse for 2 years. Detailed review.
Switching to a vertical mouse has significantly improved my daily workflow and comfort. The ergonomic design naturally aligns the wrist and forearm, reducing strain during long hours of usage. Quality: not that good but you should consider price also. So yes, value for money. Comfort: at the start you’ll feel size of the mouse is big, afterwards you’ll used it. Durability: I’ve uploaded current pictures, I bought this mouse in December 2023. Still quality is moderate after using on a daily basis. (I work on cadd softwares so use of mouse is high). 2 years at this price is quite impressive. Overall: it’s a good product, may be some people have different experience but I shared my honest experience. @portronics
