DELUXE EDITION โ Featuring spray-painted and stenciled edges, metallic foil designs on the jacket and case, detailed map endpapers, an annotated chapter and a ribbon! This beautifully packaged adventure marks Tricia Levenseller's triumphant return to the Daughter of the Pirate King universe, which has sold nearly a million copies. Pirates of the Caribbean meets The Mummy in Vengeance of the Pirate Queen , which follows fan-favorite Sorinda and is a must read for anyone who loves fierce heroines and swoon-worthy romance. You canโt be afraid of the dark when youโre the monster lurking in the shadows. As an assassin working for the pirate queen, Sorinda is surprised when Alosaโs next task for her is not to kill a new target, but to captain a handpicked crew on a rescue mission. Unfortunately, her sailing master is Kearan. He may be the best helmsman the pirate queen has, but Sorinda finds him a real pain in the arse. Sadly, there are few places on a ship to hide from an attentive man. As the crew of the Vengeance faces dangerous waters and deadly sea creatures, they accidentally awaken the King of the Undersea, a being who can control the dead. Their rescue mission quickly turns into a fight to save the world, but first, Sorinda must save herself from becoming an undead queen. Review: Fabulous Fantasy - This book is killer! Literally. Fans of DAUGHTER OF THE PIRATE KING will love this new journey with Sorinda as the main character. Sheโs an assassin, Captain, and all around awesome pirate. The story starts out bloody as Sorinda kills an old foe and wreaks vengeance on his crew for what they did to a female servant. The author doesnโt shy around darkness, but she doesnโt get overly detailed either. Sorinda is then made captain of the Vengeance; a perfect name for her ship! She sets out with her new crew to find some of the Queenโs missing pirate spies. As well as some old friends like Kearan, who is still sober and in love with Sorinda. The spies were following the land king as he tried to discover the panaceum; a siren artifact that makes a person invincible. Nothing on the trip goes to plan which forces both Sorinda and Kearan to share their vulnerabilities. There is beautiful character development as they face their pasts with forgiveness and their futures with hope. Itโs a swashbuckling adventure that you wonโt want to miss! You donโt have to have read the first two books to appreciate Sorindaโs sharp sword, but I absolutely adore Alosa the Pirate Queen and would highly recommend them! Review: A fun adventure - Wasnโt sure how I would feel about another book in this series. I truly adore those first couple books. But while this did have a slow start by the end I really cared for the characters and was having a great time with the story. I wish the relationship wouldโve started a bit sooner just to have time to build them more but still loved how cute they were together.

LOVED.
Thank you Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for the ALC. I feel like itโs been a long time since Iโve read a Tricia Levenseller book and this reminded me of why sheโs one of my favorite young adult authors. I absolutely loved this story. I loved seeing the growth in Sorinda as she had to break out of standing in the background to being the captain of a ship. Her ups and downs were inspiring and I liked seeing the inner battle Sorinda showcased as the plot progressed. Those ending action scenes were incredible and really brought the story full circle. The sub-plot romance worked perfectly too. Some enemies to lovers vibes with Kearan. While also confessing the darkest parts of their souls as both learned to be open. Thereโs some good swoon and passion too. I liked the plot, the high seas adventure, getting to see a little bit of Alosa again, the themes and everything in between. Overall audience notes: - YA Fantasy + Romance - Language: low - Romance: heated kisses - Violence: high - Trigger/Content Warnings: loss of loved ones, near death experiences, physical/magical altercations, blood/gore depiction

It was fun
The book was fun to read. It was interesting, but everything was expected. I wanted to know Sorinda's story. She was an interesting character, and I wanted to see how her romance with Kearan would go. I think the emotional grow she goes through was well done, but the romantic feelings were less clear. All in all it's an interesting world and I wonder if there will be more books.

I liked this extension of the world
Though the book isn't about Alosa and Raiden, the story and familiar characters made it just as compelling and compassionate. I was not expecting the storyline to unfold the way it did, and I enjoyed learning about Sorinda and who she is. I found myself hoping for another book to find out what adventures were happening during this same time with Draxenโฆ I would love to read that adventure! Thank you for the book. Sorindaโs story is very relatable: not feeling good enough or worthy enough, and being too hard on ourselves for what we deserve or don't deserve. We all feel those things, some more than others, and I love the hope that comes from this story. We all have a purpose and mission, whatever that is. Thanks for the great adventure! I look forward to reading more!

Although this is a separate story, it is an outstanding one!
I loved this book! Sorinda, Alosa's assassin is the protagonist in the story and a whirlwind of vengeful destruction that starts at the beginning of the story and finally ends at the end. There is always something going on, so the quiet parts of the book are few and far between. There is romance, adventure, extreme danger, and mistakes by the characters, made all the way through the book. I would never want the Sorinda character angry with me. To make a very long story of my admiration for this book, much shorter, I most definitely recommend this book and the other two books of this trilogy.

Loved the stories with Alosa. This is a story that takes place after, but focused on Sorinda the Pirate Assassin. Its a nice story, liked the first 2 better though
