Vont 2 Pack Portable Outdoor LED Camping Lantern Survival Kit for Hurricane, Emergency, Storm, Outages (Black, Collapsible)

I got worried when I heard there might be blackouts as my dad is 86 with Alzheimer's. I realized we would need enough lights around the house so he wouldn't get scared. I did some research, and all said VONT was a good reliable make, so I bought a set of 8 so all the rooms in dads house would have light. They all came with batteries included but I kept those as spares and replaced with Duracell incase the cheaper batteries leaked (just in case.) I was surprised just how bright these lights were! To turn ON/OFF you just open/pull up and close/push down. It's so easy. They also have a handle so can hang anywhere. I would really recommend these. I know there are a lot of cheaper lanterns but for something so important as safety lighting I was happy to pay for a good reliable lantern.

Bought for power cuts. Brilliant little lantern and it gives brightness to a room similar to a bedside lamp. Don't know about battery life as only just bought. Highly recommend!

Very light to carry around and very bright. Battery life was normal as is usual with quality of battery bought today. Good lamps.

Bought these (imported from US it seems) because of the claims made around being robust and high quality. So was very disappointed to turn one on straight out of the box and there’s a dead LED bulb on one lamp. Massive pain to return to US and the warranty website of Vont is impossible as it doesn’t seem to recognise an order made on Amazon.Co.Uk. So a purchase made in the expectation of good quality is now a massive inconvenience to return and replace. Especially annoying as it’s one lamp not both.

Product seems ok but these arrived without the handles so I can’t hook the up to anything. Returns have to go via UPs pick up stores - which are miles away and difficult to get to - loads of reviews saying good things which is why I bought them but a waste of money for me.

I bought these lanterns in case of the threatened black outs. They are just the right size, easy to hold and give a good light. Pleased with my purchase.

I'm hoping these last a while, but they do seem well constructed. Ideal for popping in a drawer or cupboard for emergency use. When in use, the illumination is more than adequate while navigating at night indoors. I would imagine the area of effect, outdoors, will be similar to other standard lanterns on the market. I have only used these briefly to test them, so I can't comment on battery life just now. Be assured by the glowing reviews here... in this case, the high score appears to be reasonable and justified.

Bought these for use in our campervan or side Awning/tent - perfect throws out a broad area of bright light that can be adjusted by extending up or down depending on brightness you need - excellent.

I wasn't really looking for any lanterns on Amazon, but when I came across 2 for 15 bucks I couldn't pass it up. These things could easily be sold elsewhere for 20 bucks a piece. They look like they're made of machined aluminum in the photos, but they're actually made of a durable plastic. They're very lightweight and small. WAY smaller than other lanterns that produce the same output with standard bulbs. There are a total of 30 LED's, 3 sides with 10 each in a triangular pattern. The lighting output is sufficient, it won't blow you away, but it is definitely bright enough to illuminate a tent or picnic table. You could even use it for navigating on foot due to its size. The light collapses down into the body, and when you want to turn it on you pop it up. There is no switch, it turns on automatically. The lights turn on at about 1/4" of lifting it up. The movement is very smooth and fluid. There is just enough friction so that it is easy to pull up, yet not to little as to let it come up on its own and turn on if it were upside down. I should note that there is no digital function to change the brightness. However, you could easily do this by collapsing the light a little bit so some or most of the LED's are inside the body. Of course, it won't save any power doing it this way though. The handles are made of stainless steel and do exactly what they're supposed to. It is worth mentioning that the handles do not hinder the movement of the mechanism even when they are in their collapsed position. The lantern takes 3 AA batteries. I like this feature a lot because I am used to having big bulky lanterns that use D or C batteries for camping. AA batteries are much smaller and more common, plus I can use rechargeable ones which is nice. The battery compartment is housed at the bottom and is accessed by unscrewing a lid. This is an advantage over a traditional clipping cover that other products use that pop off and get lost easily. My only complaint is that I would have preferred a single handle that was centered rather than two handles on either end. This is just because I think two is over kill. Other than that, I can only say good things about these lanterns. If you're even considering buying them, just do it, you won't be disappointed. Thanks Divine LEDs!

Loved these little lanterns & bought a box full to give as gifts. They are so compact but give off a good amount of light. Everyone loved them! (Esp because most of the receivers had just experienced power outages). If you buy- I would suggest buying rechargeable batteries. I see there are now solar powered ones like this- so will probably buy those next time instead of battery operated ones. But still like these & will use them. Very handy.

Bought this for a camping outing, and was impressed by small size and brightness. Hard to look at light when it is on as it is such bright white light. Also no switches to turn on in the dark, you just pull open and light.automatically turns on. I this this is a great emergency light to have in home & car. Will get more.
