Fun, educational, simple and a good value.
Fun and easy to assemble. I was very pleasantly surprised at the sound quality, easy to connect to a phone. Great instructions, easy for a kid to follow. Highly recommended- it’s a bargain!

Great little project and speaker
I actually bought 2 of these, one for my son's Boy Scout troop gift exchange, and the other for our son for Christmas. The box doesn't really give a hint to the product, but once kids found out what was inside, this was one of the gifts that was "stolen" during the gift exchange. My son had helped choose this gift and really wanted one himself, so we surprised him with it Christmas morning. Assembly was easy and the pictured instructions were simple for him (a 12 year-old) to follow without help. You will need a small Phillips head screwdriver, but that's it. The surprise was how good this speaker sounds! It was easy for him to pair and the sound is really quite good. Frankly, I was expecting something rather "tinny" at this price point, but that's not the case at all. We are all very pleased and feel like this kit was fun and a good value. If I were to make any improvement, it would be to have it be plug-in or rechargeable rather than taking 4 AA batteries. I realize that would probably increase the cost, but it would be worth it in my opinion as I cannot keep batteries in this house. Otherwise, this is a great little item!

Great kit
Just as describe - my son (13 years) was able to assemble this easily in less than an hour with minimal frustration, and now I have a great bluetooth speaker in the kitchen while I'm cooking dinner!

KIDS LOVE STEM PROJECTS, THIS IS A MUST
MY SON LOVED THIS GIFT. HE IS A BUILDER AND LIKES MESSING WITH STEM ITEMS. HE BUILT IT IN NO TIME. I WAS SUPRISED HOW LOUD THE LITTLE THING WAS. HE HAD ALOT OF FUN BUILDING IT AND THEN DECORATING THE OUTSIDE WITH HIS DRAWINGS. INSTRUCTIONS WERE EASY TO FOLLOW AND I FEEL LIKE HE LEARNED ABOUT CIRCUIT BOARDS A LITTLE MORE. JUST DONT FORGET TO BUY BATTERIES FOR IT I THINK IT WAS 4 AA

Pretty Cool and sounds very strong too! But.....
This item turned out pretty cool. However, batteries?? Nobody wants to have to buy AA batteries over and over again, not to mention they're attached to the out side of the Bluetooth speaker; and without a cover. That makes them vulnerable to water, damages if dropped, and the possibility of battery acid leaking directly were my child will end up getting that on her hands. So try giving options of rechargable lithium cadmium with a USB B or C port. That would be most excellent. But no, seriously it was still pretty cool item.

Such a fun project! The instructions were easy to follow, and it was rewarding to build something that actually works. Great way to learn a little about electronics while creating a functional speaker.
