If i understand your question correctly; then yes this product is effective enough to be used as your only deep conditioning product. You do not have to follow up with another conditioner to restore moisture balance. You can shampoo (or co wash), use this DC, rince then style as usual. But if you are a "curly girl" you should always use a leave in that suits your hair type. This is my holy grail DC... HTH
