Sony WH-CH520 Wireless Headphones Bluetooth On-Ear Headset with Microphone and up to 50 Hours Battery Life with Quick Charging, Blue

This work well for my daughter whose last ones broke. The volume is great as is the noise cancelation. The microphone is crisp and clear when she speaks through it for her video games. They are very durable and take a beaten as she likes to throw them around. There still isn't a scratch on them. The color is a nice color blue and looks good and hasn't dulled since getting. Bn. They are also is to carry around being very portable in their sturdy carrying case in g he same color. Easy to throw in a purse or a bag. I loved the price.

The product arrived well packaged. There was a delivery delay but it was not horrendous and to be expected given that it was ordered during Parime Days, The headphones arrived almost fully charged, Set up was relatively easy, but you really do need to use their app to complete the set up process. The app also allows you to change some settings and select equalizer settings that work for you. The switches have a nice feel to them. They do have raised areas designed to help you find the correct switch by feel. There are times however when I find that it is easier to adjust the volume using the phone or I remove the headphone to make a change. This is a very subjective items so you may not have the same issue. No stars were deducted for that reason. These are an on ear device. It was not uncomfortable to me, but it did take some getting used to and here again...Personal preference comes into play. On a warm and humid day you may experience some sweating where the ear cup rides on your ear. That may allow for some movement / shifting of the headphone depending on what you are doing. They may thus not work out well for use doing exercising as an example. The sound quality is great at this price point. I have Bose ear buds. The sound from this device is not Bose quality and you should not expect it to be Bose quality. It is good to very good however. The equalizer settings allow you to control all five typical equalizer settings PLUS a separate adjustment for th4 bass. Paring was easy and fast. The connection remains stable most of the time. There is a selection that allows you to select either top quality sound or a more stable connection. I chose sound quality an the vast majority of the time the connection was stable with no noise present. There may be times however, that due to local conditions / interference you may have a little popping or very brief drop out. I have worn these headphones a LOT since they arrived and while I have experienced that, it was very limited. Now I also have a lot of electric / electronic devices in use on my property and that will may explain what I experienced. I did have some interference from some household devices when I wass very close to them. The battery life seems to be very good. I have worn m for several hours and the voice system still indicates 100% at startup. Unlike my Bose products the battery monitoring system is not linear where it will call out 100%, 90%, 80%b etc... It may call out 100% until the battery hits 50% (As an example) and then te voice system will drop from stating 100% to 50%. I do not see that as an issue or negative given the very long stated by the manufacturer battery life, and I have no disagreement with their claims about battery life aty this point in time, So again...Thus far I am very pleased with the fit, quality, and sound quality of these headphones. Do bed aware that tey are NOT noise cancelling. There will be some outside noise reduction dur to the ear cups of course.

Great quality and great battery life! I use them for a couple hours each day and it takes a week for them to go down to 70% charge. They don’t start getting low (30-40%) until my second week of using them without charging. They’re not the loudest for volume or don’t have extreme bass like ‘beats’ headphones but they’re not low sounding either and the audio is crystal clear. So for the price they cost, they are well worth it. You get what you paid for. The super long battery life is my favorite thing about them though. The sleek style and simplicity is another favorite thing about them. I took time to write this review just because of how impressed I am with them!

This review is for the 520. I am the owner of the 500 also. So this review will be mentioning the 500 as a comparison. I got this product because I felt like the sound quality on the 500 which I bought several years ago didn't quite seem like it was as good as it used to be Of course I'm sure my hearing isn't as good as it used to be as well. I bought these because they were very affordable I mean how often do you find a product like this on sale This is Sony product that appears to have a high rating for reviews and it's between 30 and 40 bucks so not too shabby in that regard. Now of course if these are off sale they're probably more expensive and then you'd have to decide what you want to do personally if these were 50 or $60 I never would have bought them or if I bought them to try out I would probably return them. I'm only keeping them because the sale price made them such a good deal. The sound quality is actually a little better than my old 500 model and by that I mean it sounds louder at 50% then my 500 model does There's a noticeable difference so I would think definitely my old pair is probably just wearing out. That being said the old pair actually seems like better quality I don't know how to explain it It's the plastic it's the way it's formed something about it feels like a more expensive item than the one I have now. The 520 just seems like a cheaper lesser expensive plastic which may or may not be true I don't understand the manufacturing of course but it just has that feel to it. The only thing I got was it was the headset itself and a tiny charging cord which is sufficient I suppose It would have been nice to have a case or even some sort of bag to put it in. Other than that it connects to all my devices just like the old version did You works with everything I have flawlessly I love the mic feature I've used it to make a phone call while sitting in the backyard which my old model has as well and I asked a person I was talking to what they what the sound quality was like on their end they said it sounded fine. One little grape I have is I wish the charging cord which is really just a cord with one of those USB ends on it I guess this is the trend with electronics nowadays but I wish they would give you something you can plug into the wall Not everyone has one despair That being said also the court itself is probably about 5 in long It's okay when it sits on my desk but if I wanted to charge it in a wall outlet it's kind of a pain again I guess it's some way that they charge and save money. Overall quality I would say is probably about a c+ maybe a b-. I love Sony products they always seem to hold up and last a long time so since I only had it a short time I'm expecting the battery life will be just like my old one which actually has very good battery life even now after all these years and I use that old one a lot so I'm sure the battery life will be good on this one as well. But one thing I noticed about Sony if you buy a Sony product that's inexpensive there's always some way you can tell it just seems like a lesser version of a Sony but it does what I wanted to do and it was a very good price so I'd recommend it if it's on sale but if the price is above $45 I would skip it and get a different brand.

I am so, so so, so very glad I purchased these headphones. The sound quality is outstanding, as is how they are made. They are extremely easy to set up and operate. They have a comfortable fit and come it several colors, an option I liked. My purchase did not come with a carrying case, but I have a small bag that works for that purpose,so it is fine, plus there are too many other pluses and qualities about these headpone to demote for that one quirk. Great quality! Great value for your money. Nice assortment of colors. Easy to use. Honesly, they are as good as the Bose headphones I had for years and even without the carrying case, more compact and I think better constructed. DO NOT HESITAT TO BUY THESE!

I LOOOVE THEEEM! They came suuper fast to Colombia, I received them 6 days before the estimated delivery date. They feel super light, the cushioning is super soft, and I barely feel them on my ears, which is exactly what I was looking for since my ears hurt very easily. I purchased these for the gym and for jump rope, and they're working perfectly. It doesn't matter how much I move, they don't fall off or shift. They're also very comfortable on my head. I don't feel them squeezing my head, which is something that usually happens with headphones and gives me a headache. The sound quality is just perfect. I'm not a pro, but I think it's more than enough for working out or just listening to music while working or studying. The equalizer works great, and the 360 Reality Audio gives the sound an extra pop that makes them even better. This was a great purchase! I totally recommend them

1 YEAR LATER UPDATE (Sept 21, 2024): Ok so I said in my last update that was going to be my last, but seeing how a year has passed, I thought maybe someone out there may find it useful and are curious as to how these are holding up so here I am back at it again: Yes the headphones still work, no issues with battery, Bluetooth, turning it on, etc... Everything still works wonders. The padding on the headphones haven't flaked off. No weird crackling sounds from audio, still crispy and clear. Mic still works. The white version hasn't turned yellow or any sort of weird color, still looks brand new. I haven't ran into any issues with these. They haven't randomly shut off or stopped working. I haven't had problems with the headphones wearing down or pieces breaking off. Everything is still intact like when I first got it. My final thoughts? Honestly, I'm still a proud owner of these headphones. I don't regret buying these. They are well worth every penny spent. They have saved me and spared my wallet many trips at constantly trying to replace my wired earbuds hehe :) UPDATE (Dec 10, 2023): This is going to be my last update probably, but I finally got around to testing the calling feature accidentally and it works great. Friend was able to hear me clearly and loudly while I was walking around crowded areas and I didn't have to talk so loudly when calling. My talking volume was like when you talk to a friend that's right beside you. Kind of like loud whispering haha, had no problems connecting the headphones to the call at all either, super easy process :) UPDATE (Nov 22, 2023): For those wondering, nearing the 1st-2nd week of October the battery finally went down to 75% and than later it went down to 50% so the battery did in fact last for a month (maybe even longer if I didn't charge it). I used it for a couple hours (1-3hrs) between classes, though I didn't use these headphones everyday so that may be why it lasted for a month. The app connected with the headphones works great and bluetooth still works fine, no random disconnects. I still agree with everything I said in my previous update! UPDATE (Sept 30, 2023): So it's been about a month of usage and the battery life is absolutely insane. I haven't charged it since the day I got it (Sept 4, 2023) and it's been a blast. These headphones are pretty durable. I can confidently throw them in my bookbag and not have to worry it might get damaged. I also don't have any issues with the headphones getting dirty easily (specifically the white version) if that's a concern you may have. Sound leaking is still apparent, I always have to be conscious about my volume being too high or not in a quiet room which is still something I can't get used to. I noticed the more I used the headphones, the less tension it caused for my ears and the more my ears started to adjust to them. I think at first your ears may feel tight, but after awhile it kinda gets used to it and hurts less, at least, that's how it was for me. Headphones are still going strong and still look brand new. 100% would recommend ORIGINAL REVIEW (Sept 4, 2023): To address the other reviews I've been seeing, here's what I've come to terms with: WHAT I LIKED: - Very sleek and minimalist. I live for the design, I think it's a great and very aesthetically pleasing. - You have the option of changing the EQ setting (I changed it so bass can be more and they sound great even without tweaking the settings. Big fan of this feature as this is my first time ever being able to control the EQ settings) - Connects easily once you get through the app process + Bluetooth connection is pretty good, doesn't disconnect randomly. - Sound is good for me. Not very headphone savvy, but I can feel the beat of my music and that's always an A in my books. - Good PASSIVE noise cancelling, these definitely aren't active noise cancelling, but the padding does make your surroundings a little bit muffled so you don't hear as much. Which is fine with me since I'm planning to go to school with these and need to hear my surroundings most of the time. - Doesn't bother my earrings, don't even notice they're there. - Good battery life, nothing to complain about. Works throughout the day and can usually take on a few more days, which I find to be pretty impressive. - like that it's lightweight, I can put it around my neck without it being bothersome for long periods of time and while walking with them on, I don't feel like there's a weight on my head. WHAT I NOTICED/OTHERS MAY FIND BOTHERSOME: - In terms of sound leaking, these DO leak. they leak if you go past 50% or higher. This isn't an issue for me since the sound is already pretty loud at 20-30%, but considering those who love to blast music, it may be an issue. - hurts your ears when wearing it for too long. - these do NOT fold. Might be kind of inconvenient if you want to travel a lot with these, though, there are cases to store these specific headphones so it might not be so much of a problem for some. - the volume up/down and pause buttons are hard to differentiate between. They all kinda feel the same when wearing the headphones and although it's not a big deal to me, it could be inconvenient and frustrating to others. Haven't tested out connecting w/ 2 devices at the same time, but the things I said above were the things I noticed when I first unboxed and tested them. In my opinion, I think these are great, they work for me, and I like them. Gave it a 4 stars due to all the factors I noticed that may be a hindrance to myself and/or others when wearing these headphones. Otherwise, I think these headphones are worth a try. 9/10 for me

Excellent product with great sound quality for its price. Pairing takes a bit of time sometimes. Battery works for sufficiently long time with full charge, but time not tested exactly.

I’ve had these headphones for a long time, and they still work perfectly. The sound quality is clear, the battery lasts a long time, and they’re very comfortable to wear. Bluetooth connects quickly, and they’ve been reliable for everyday use. Great quality from Sony, and I would definitely buy them again. Highly recommended!

Muy cómodos, en mi trabajo participo en muchas reuniones virtuales y hay días en que los traigo puestos tal vez 5 o 6 horas seguidas sin quitármelos y no me molestan, a veces hasta se me olvida que los traigo. Excelente conectividad bluetooth con el celular y laptop, se pueden conectar ambos a la vez. En el gimnasio los he usado corriendo y haciendo todo tipo de ejercicios y son cómodos, ligeros y no se mueven. Los he sudado y la cubierta de las almohadillas no se ha dañado nada. El audio es buenísimo, muy bien nivelado y aunque no tienen cancelación de ruido, con un volumen moderado y por las mismas almohadillas, aisla lo suficientemente bien como para que los ruidos o música del gimnasio, por ejemplo, queden muy en el fondo. Nunca ha sido necesario subir al máximo el volumen. Además con la app puedes ecualizar a tu gusto, también recomiendo, si usas Spotify, ecualizar ahí para tener la mejor experiencia posible. La batería dura muchísimo, en 3 meses de uso usándolos en promedio 3 o 4 horas diarias y solo los he puesto a cargar 3 veces. Cargan muy rápido también. El único detalle que les he encontrado es que con mi SmartTV Hisense, jugando Playstation tiene un delay de medio segundo o 1 segundo, y con Youtube cada 40 segundos o 1 minuto "se brinca" o "se come" como 1 segundo tanto del audio como del video. Pero para mi no ha sido problema porque realmente solo los uso para escuchar música desde mi celular y para tener llamadas de trabajo. En resumen, son cómodos, lucen bien, sobrios y de buena calidad, muy buen audio y excelente rendimiento de batería.
