Can it be used in pie filling?

I don’t see why not! I’m not sure it would be a good substitute for vanilla extract because the extract would be more concentrated. But I think the Watkins would be a great flavor enhancer, and it’s mostly sugar so I doubt it would alter your filling.

Is there a expiration date for this product?

There is what looks like an expiration date very faintly printed under the bar code. My bottle is good until 2024.

Um, looking at the label, a serving size is 1.2 grams and includes 1 gram of added sugar, so.2 grams of vanilla. So this is basically just sugar?

Looks that way to me. Basicly organic sugar with vanilla bean added. I have not used it yet. Got it for a recipe that called for it but did not make it. Would be good to flavor with if you are not watching your sugar intake.

Delish way to get vanilla flavor in food.

This doesn't flatten my meringues when I add it. It's easy to use as you just use the same amount as you would vanilla extract.

This is a lot better than other vanilla powders I have tried, this one has a much more pronounced vanilla flavor than the others which is great, this is an awesome addition to desserts, it is not a replacement for vanilla extract however, but it is something to use in addition to your baked goods, ice creams, etc. The main issue with it is that it is a tad bit pricey, but overall, I think it’s worth it, and I will buy again, but probably not very often unless it goes on sale 👍
