Plastic sandwich bags are made all over the world. Most are made in the U.S., Australia, and Germany. Since the country of origin is not listed it is most likely the U.S. Parchment paper and waxed paper are the healthiest sandwich wraps.

What is the thickness?

I cannot describe the thickness, however, I will say they are substantial enough to store left overs in the refrigerator. I have used them to hold a $1.45 in change for a bus fare. Have also use them to carry a very small water bottle in my purse. as well as capsules and pills when traveling. In essence, they serve multiple purposes.
