Can you use your own weights or do you have to buy specific weights for this machine?

The plastic weights are held in place by two metal poles going through them, and another central one that is connected to the pulleys. weight is selected by putting a pin in the middle pole to choose all weights above it. I've managed to put some smaller metal weights on top of this pile to provide a more gradual increase, but it's not ideal.

What is the length of the base, with the leg press down? I’m trying to work the actual length when in use

Can the free motion swivelling arms be folded in or removed when not in use? As they make the unit 156cm in width when out.

The arms will stay where you leave them from the swivel, they move freely and stay in place. The only bit you can't really fold in is where they attach to the machine but i don't think thats any wider than the actual machine itself.
