Will keep out most rain showers BUT could not for example be immersed in water. I have it in my garden as a connection point for some outside lighting. Inside is one 3 pin trailing socket and a connecting plug. The cover itself is slightly sheltered under a tree so not exposed directly to the rain. Much cheaper than the fully waterproof options and so for me does the job required. On that basis, recommended.

Ideal if you want to use an single socket extension lead into a watery ( not submerged) environment.

As a Motorhome owner I carry on the MH different 16amp power cable addon extensions so that any 'hook up' I encounter is not a problem. However, there is always the risk of rain penetrating the connection, so I first brought one of these Socket Covers in France from a Hypermarket for 3euros, and later wished that I had bought a couple more at the same time. When I found Socket covers on Amazon marketplace I ordered them. They are well made - but were delivered without the hangers that are often needed to support your 'hook up' connection where site multi sockets are full and you have to connect to the remaining spare socket using a cord through the hanger. The supplier did send me the hangers seperately - ensure that you get them if you use camp site 'hook ups'. Masterplug claim they are only splash proof covers, but I have used in torrential rain and they keep the rain out - one major point - these socket covers are only suitable for 'thick'/ artic type 3 core cable /15/16 amp max 250v - single phase. They shoudn't be used with twin core cable, it isn't thick enough to provide the water proof seal at entry and exit. Now I have my missing hangers I am pleased with the Covers and the fact that the Seller agreed to send them to me . So overall an OKAY product, Seller and pleased customer.

Works well especially if plugs and power point are near a hot tub especially for coloured lighting and tunes to add a vibe

Got this to cover up the plug and socket when I am using the pressure washer, you know what it’s like, you get a bit carried away and everything within 10m of you gets wet, for that job it’s about right but that’s about all. The cable seals at either end are ok, ish, but the body and plastic around the end seals aren’t even close, definitely wouldn’t trust it in heavy rain or to protect a plug that lives in the weather. It’s splash resistant or in my case pressure washer mist resistant, that’s about as fair as I would go but let’s be honest for 4 quid it was never going to be anything more than that now was it.

A good safety item idea , keeps your plugs dry and protected , would recommend !

Seems ok so far, although it hasn't rained much recently. The main problem, as with many similar product, is that it doesn't specify what cable diameter it supports, so if you have one that's wider than usual it might be difficult to make it fit. I had to sand the two extremity to make it work with my cable, and even like this it doesn't close completely.

First large plug on Ninja 🥷 BBQ, just need to take a part of the lining out. Good - does what it needs to.
