LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS3)

All the best of LBP .. and so much more. My kids have loved the whole series and this is no exception. It builds on the previous titles without trying too hard. Great fun for all.

This game is perfect for the 7-11 age group as there is no violence and it is so much fun to play, there is no repetitive element to it or mindless point & shoot. The graphics and sound are nothing short of stunning. The game play is easy enough for a child but without being boring and there are plenty of opportunities to improvise and go off-tangent, it is a creative masterpiece and will keep your little ones occupied for many hours due to all the many hidden games and places to explore and just the general "differentness" from any other platform game (which either seem too hard or to repetitive). I just took 1 star off though as it is far more glitchy than Little Big Planet 2 but overall the playability has improved from the last 2 LBPs due to the addition of 2 new characters that are alongside Sack Boy, these new characters give the game a fun, comical and uplifting element that was sometimes a bit lacking before. If you can look beyond the glitchiness (it's prone to crashing) then it's almost perfection.

Coming from Maria's son, I have been very fond of the LittleBigPlanet games however this one just feels rushed. Don't get me wrong this game overall is fantastic with its unique story and cool graphics but Online multiplayer is a much different story. Sure it is a brand new game only released in November so we'd sure expect a few glitches but there are too much coming from a top quality game. For example: I can't join a friend without me losing connection even before the loading screen disappears, I can't enter a level without the other players losing connection, I can't even have a friend join me because I lag out too. The worst part about returning to your pod after a glitch occurs is that you have to wait for what seems like forever to re-spawn again. Sumo Digital has disappointed me because 90% of the LittleBigPlanet experience was online but they have only gone and completely messed up the heart of LBP. I am sorry if this review gave you second thoughts about buying this "un-fit to function" game but I guess we need to give Sumo Digital time to fix these large issues.

Ive played the other LBP games and wanted to complete the collection! Not sure where the issue lies but i cant get past a certain level as there seams to be a glitch and i cant go any further. I did have to re-buy the game and it did work! Little disappointed.

Well worth the money...my kids..age 6 absolutely love this game... hours of fun and pleasure to be had...esp enjoy playing together.Older kids would also get a lot out of this..as some of the levels seem quite hard ...fantastic fun for a wet day...have now had hours of peace and quiet!

I bought this game because I adored the 2nd one and the co-op allowed me to play with 3 friends which not many games do well. However, despite installing all patches for this game there are many bugs, the worst by far being that it is physically impossible to complete the final level, "bosses wear hats sometimes" in co-op due to respawning issues. When moving between areas in the level instead of loading players, each player repeated dies and you can't continue. I am very disappointed with the game and surprised that it was released in this condition.
