Can the digital lid be fully submerged in water

I was cleaning it with cold sterilisation as required and after that the lid stopped working (showed only a blue star all the time)

Can breastmilk be use in either of these?

How can I tell how much hot water I am using

There is a dial in it that you can fill it up to holds up to 8oz of water

Has anyone mastered the art of screwing the digital top onto the black flask to test that the water is hot enough to make a feed?

No!! I have only managed it once without hot water leaking all over me 😪 But have found that the water does stay hot enough in the black flask for atleast 3 hours (tested with a non contact thermometer in the early days). So now just generally pour into the white flask and use if within 3/4 hours.
