great for very small crimp pins
I have multiple crimpers, but none of them worked properly on the very small JST-XH connectors so common in products. Although this crimper requires 2 crimps (1 for the wire, 1 for the cable crimp), it is sensitive enough to crimp properly and to not damage the wire in the process. This is a great tool addition for crimping small connectors.

Closest thing to a factory crimp
This is the closest thing to a factory crimp I've ever seen. Better than tools sold by companies that specialize in electrical tools. Make sure the size works for you.

Pliers worked well for me. , they took a few tries to get it right but they did fine !

Not very usefull
Jaws are way too thin and not properly machined to crimp the connectors properly. The spring tension wasn't great either. Most annoying feature was the (over lubed) lock which would consistently rotate itself during the crimping process. I'll stick with my ratcheting set....

Jaws do not stay straight and screw does not stay tight.

It bends jst connectors. It is not rigid. It is not well made. Do not buy this.

Okay but not great
These are okay. But not great. The crimper area die shape is a little crude and inpresice. The center pivot joint is sloppy. Tightening didn't help. I added a washer and some gun lube oil. Then tightened . It seems better but not amazing. Be advised on the quality.
