Not fit for purpose! TWO snapped blades!
I’ve used Spear & Jackson garden tools for many years and have always been satisfied with the quality of their products, especially their ground working tools as they are durable and great value for money. HOWEVER, the same cannot be said for what is quite possibly the worst edging tool I’ve ever used. Upon receiving my order I was rather satisfied as the product was lightweight and had the usual durable feel. How wrong was I! Within the first hour of use the head became slightly warped and actually sheared off. I was working soft grass in the rain and somehow still managed to snap the metal edging blade. I ordered a replacement and lo and behold the same thing happened again, this time snapping off where the blade meets the shaft. I’ve used these tools many years for landscaping and have never had this happen, let alone twice in a row! Completely unfit for purpose and has really put me off the brand for future purposes.

Looks well made
Looks well made The stainless steel head looks very fragile on the heads stem. Only time will tell Price to me was a little high, saying that the day after I bought this it went up in price by £14 Crazy
