Lepro Bathroom Ceiling Light Warm White, 24W 2400lm IP54 Waterproof, 28cm

I used a 2400 lumens warm white product for a small living room. I find it a bit too bright for comfort, so I might have been better to use a couple of 1200 lumens versions instead. Also, although LED lights in general can be dimmed, only some in this manufacturers ranges are suitable for this. None of the 2400 or 1200 lumen versions can be dimmed. The warm white 2100 lumens 1500027-WW-EU can be used with a dimmer, and also the 2100 lumen daylight white 1500027 DW-EU. Unfortunately, it is only when I read the installation instructions that I found this information. Purchasers are advised to obtain assurances as to the precise model being purchased, and the model numbers seem not to be available on the advert. It installed very easily, is light, and very bright. I am thinking of buying sunglasses.

Identical in construction to the smaller 100 watt equivalent one I installed last weekend, well made and very easy to install. Just turn power off to lights, screw the included metal mounting bracket to the ceiling, squeeze 'button' on electrical connector and insert live and neutral wires (releasing the button locks wires in place, just check they are firmly in place). Screw cover over connector and attach light to the metal bracket by pulling back on two sprung handles. That's it. This 200 watt unit is incredibly bright, almost too bright for our modest sized kitchen. Looking up feels like staring at the sun! Quality of construction is excellent. Only minor niggle is that due to tight tolerance attaching unit to metal bracket can take a bit of fiddling, but it's something you'll rarely need to do. There is no user replaceable 'bulb' and the unit should last many years.

So, I am relatively handy at DIY but never less am female and sadly now very middle-aged! I had a previous light that lasted just over 3 years on balance I think the old model was easier to fit but maybe my memory deceives me. The wiring is a doddle in theory but I found the buttons you had to press just a bit too far from the edge of the light to enable me to press and hold the fitting with one end and thread the wire in with the other. I did get there in the end and boy was I glad that it worked when I switched it on because I couldn't face going through that again. I guess a doddle if you have larger hands or two of you. Once fitted it is a very bright light and if it lasts another 3 years the effort will have been worth it.

Only two things I didnt like One-the fact that when I put the light on the ceiling I had to get some one to help cos although I could get it into position the locking tabs that fasten it to the bracket didnt want to go in under their own steam they weren't spring loaded, two- it's a sealed unit so once the bulbs has gone it's a throw away light but apart from that am really happy, would get this again, makes the bathroom really bright. Hopefully it will last 20 years. 8o) If it wasnt a throw away and could be reused would be better.

Love the light, but I need to say thank you to the recent reviewer Andy. The instructions were very basic, and I could not get the wires to secure inside the connection. I was pushing them in, and then trying to push the connection down, and I was getting so frustrated at the wires not securing. I read Andy’s review and saw that I should hold the connection down, and then push the wires in. Upon release they would secure. I had been attempting it the wrong way round. Securing to the ceiling was fine, and the light output is fantastic for our kitchen. Great quality item, just need to make the instructions a bit clearer.

Good light let down by very fiddly connections. We installed this in our bathroom. It was very fiddly to get the live and neutral connections in to place. Once in place there is only a push connection no screws. We decided the light was too bright for our bathroom so went to move it to our kitchen and put a smaller/lower lumen one in the bathroom only to find the connectors would not come undone. Had to cut our wires to remove. Now if we want to reuse the light we will have to install a new connector block.

Bought to replace a strip light and though not quite covering the same area due to the single point of light this item looks fantastic and is easy to install, wire up and mount. Instant light and plenty bright enough as a strip light replacement

Impossible to wire up - no issues with a similar style one previously. This is poorly designed with no consideration for ease of installation
