I used this to replace a dusk-to-dawn sensor on my outdoor lights. Although the Sonoff unit itself is very compact, I needed to install a deeper surface back box in my garage because the additional light switch I fitted was quite deep. The wiring instructions were clear and easy to follow, making installation straightforward. Connecting it to WiFi only took a few seconds, and the app is simple to use. I can control my lights with multiple time schedules or switch them on and off instantly with a single tap. Great value for money and works perfectly.

Brilliant piece of kit! Solved my problem of not having a light switch beside bed. Very compact and fitted inside the back of the switch smoothly. Easy to wire and to connect for beginners like me. I put this behind a lamp in the living room so I could control it with Alexa and Google Home. Setup through the eWeLink app was straightforward, took about ten minutes to get it connected to the wifi and linked to my voice assistants. It works reliably and I've had no issues with it dropping off the network. The switch itself is compact enough to fit inside the lamp base housing, which was important for keeping things tidy. I also set up a couple of schedules through the app so the lamp comes on automatically in the evening. For the price, it does exactly what you'd want a smart switch to do. Only thing I'd mention is the instructions could be a bit clearer for anyone not used to wiring, but if you've done basic electrical work before it's simple enough.

Nice and small, really good build. Used this to replaced failed outside light timer and working perfectly with home assistant via eweelink cloud. Job done.

This product was brilliant, it was small and compact. I have used this as a smart switch for my christmas lights, it has fitted to the inside of an outdoor socket. The connections were simple as you dont need to use an external switch you can just connect through the device and this will suffice. This switch is really simple to set up on the app and you can program the functionality so that when it gets power to it then it is either on or off. There is no change in light output from your assosciated equipment. The cost of this is minimal in comparison to if you use it to automatically switch something off that normally stays on. The only thing to be aware of is that this connects into the electrical wiring so as an electrician i was easily able to install safely but if your not competent working with electricity then i would advise you maybe use a plug in switch rather than this connected smart switch.

Very simple to set up and works well most of the time, but does keep becoming unresponsive. I have one of these mounted in a weatherproof junction box which powers my outside lights. It's linked to Home Assistant and every 2 or 3 weeks it becomes unresponsive and I have to turn the circuit breaker for the outside lighting circuit on and off to reset the device.

Works very well with Alexa once you enable the Ewelink skill. Placed in a group, actions can be added to turn the switch on or off by voice, by button remote or by sensor. Great value for money. Bought two of these when they were £12 each, which was oddly cheaper than buying a bundle of two. Could have bought the no-neutral version, but I needed to control these over WiFi as they are placed inside metal wall boxes, which Zigbee probably couldn't penetrate. You also need to connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi as 5 GHz is not supported and will prevent connection if you have the same SSID for both frequencies. I give my SSIDs different names for this reason.

Great size to hide in the electrical box. Using in north canadian winters with no glitches.

Connecting to network is super fast.. Very easy to fix inside existing switch board Load can also be switched on/ off using existing switch..without distrubing scheduled timings. Good added feature on this version.

It was a bit big for fitting behind my light switch, but with some shoving it could fit. But overall it works flawlessly

Great product, easy to install and fits in standard EU box. I used it to connect my light fixtures to my smart home environment. It integrates nicely with Google Home and Samsung SmartThings. It also retains normal operation of the light switch which was a must for me.
