This is an excellent bag
Unfortunately the bag was too big for our small car's roof rack, however, as other reviews have said, it's a seriously good bag for the money. I have returned it, but only because it was too big, and have opted for individual Dry Bags instead. I think the best review photo I saw was from someone who is using it in the back of a pick-up truck. It's most definitely excellent value for money, and for a certain purpose, it was just unfortunate that it wasn't going to work for my particular situation. I would however, not hesitate in buying the bag again for a different application. The double opening zipper was, as reported by others, easy to use and of good sturdy quality, with a weather flap that velcros over the zip for added waterproofness. As noted by another reviewer, you do need to make sure that the area where the two zippers meet is facing backwards if it's on a car roof, to further ensure that no prevailing water coming towards your vehicle sneaks in between the two ends of the closed zip, despite the weather flap's existence. Really, it's an excellent bag. The Amazon branding, by the way, points forwards and backwards, that is how you know which way around it goes on your roof. Also, it refolds easily and the storage bag, which is made from the same material, is nicely over-sized so getting the roof bag back into its 'holdall' is easy too.

Great product, but straps a pain.
Used this on safari and it was fantastic, esp as it was quite wet enroute. However, the straps are very fiddly and different lengths which was a real pain. Eventually just gave up on them and used two ratchet straps which worked a treat. Knocked off a star for this reason.

Spacious bag and easy to use
This bag saved us a lot of extra cost and hassle when our main family car broke down just before we were going to go on holiday. We had to use our smaller 2nd car, a mid sized hatchback (Audi A3), with this bag to fit everything instead. The car we were using didn't have roof rails or anything but I managed solve the issue with some 'cargo roof hook straps' that hook onto the insides of the door frames by pulling the door seals down and then pushing them back up onto the hooks once fitted. It was easy to fit straight onto the roof once I'd got the cargo hooks sorted. I didn't bother with a pad between the car and the bag but will probably by one for next time just to protect the car better - but fortunately the car wasn't damaged. The bag took 2 large hardshell suitcases and some hand luggage no problem at all. The bag appears to be waterproof as claimed (as it rained for nearly the entire 3 hours we were travelling, both at the beginning and end of the holiday). I'm sure the straps attached to the bags would've been fine on their own but because they all had clip catches to secure them to the vehicle I ran a load strap diagonally over the bag for extra security. The only disadvantage of a bag over a box is security of the load, as a box can be locked but the bag cannot. NOTE: this bag is quite big, and much bigger than the standard gap between roof bars on cars with fixed mounting points. If you want to use it with roof bars (i.e. if you don't have roof rails it can be strapped to on your vehicle) I'd recommend buying a roof basket to rest it on.

Great, flexible, space saving option. Huge as well.
My family and I bought this for extra space in addition to a roof box we already have, and it was great. I used it for a week long camping trip and it was perfect for getting out kitchen furniture in - acting as a flat base to the bag, after which, we then put sleeping bags, various other soft items and camping chairs. There's a tonne of room in this, and due to the nature of it being a bag, rather than a rigid shell it was easy to stuff things in. We even had some rain on the way to our site and it kept our stuff perfectly dry. A great buy.

Great for extra space and easy to install.
I don't leave many reviews but felt compelled to on this product, as I spent ages researching various roof bags. Background - we have a 14 month old baby plus dog and like to go on holidays in the UK. So space in our Nissan Qashqai is at a premium with two adults, car seat, buggy and space for the dog. We originally wanted a box for the roof, but had no place to store the box when not in use. Our Qashqai came with side bars (and a panoramic sunroof) and we bought Hardcastle Aluminium Cross Bars (135cm) from Amazon which are great and good quality. We originally bought a cheaper bag because we didn't want a huge bag on the roof, but when it arrive the handle snapped on the carry bag so sent it back and ordered the Amazon Basics one, which has so far exceeded our expectations. The quality is outstanding, the straps whilst initially are faddy (easier second time round because in right place) are good quality and you feel they will secure the bag. As we had a panoramic sunroof we bought Siivton Roof Mat to protect the surface, but I understand many buy one to protect paintwork. The bag sat comfortably between the two cross bars I had installed and strapped up tightly. Because I wanted added security, I also bought a set of Silver line Buckle Straps, but I think these were probably overkill. We packed the bag full of clothes which was easier to do when it was on the roof, we have some Amazon Basics Packing Cubes (and a set of cheaper versions for the baby's) which made the process even easier. We filled the base with these cubes and didn't double stack, because of fear of cracking the sunroof with the weight. We drove from Leeds to Norwich and back, traveling between 60-70mph and the bag did not move at all, it made no additional noise and you would not know it was there other than losing from light from the sunroof. It didn't rain at any point, so can't verify Waterproof, but it looks like it would be fine. My only concern is security when parked up for lunch and service stations etc. I purposefully positioned the zips in a hard to reach area and covered then with straps. I plan to buy a padlock for additional security.

Can fit in a lot but no stable bottom and straps extremely short
Really liked that it was waterproof, sturdy, with ample room. Disliked that it was a real faff to position on top of the roof rack and had to use support structures underneath it (as recommended by another customer) to keep it off the roof of the car and give support. The straps are ridiculously short and wouldn’t go round the entire length of the roof rack bag. So I strapped them on the sides of the roof rack instead and used spider straps to go round the entire bag so it prevented forwards and backwards motion. Was a little concerned leaving it on top of the car overnight in our stay at a motel on the way to Scotland but the padlock i put on it kept our clothes safe. It stayed out better than I thought it would and was very waterproof! Overall reasonable value for money the but the strap issue is a pain!

95% waterproof
I bought this to put on the roof of my 16 plate Vauxhall Mokka. I also had roof rails and the bag was a little big for it with the roof rails on. It wasn't the easiest to fasten. It didn't look as neat as the photos when fastened 🙈 Loosening the straps takes a bit of brain power to work put, which I managed. This made it extra secure. I saw in the photos that people seemed to fasten the side straps so then fastened on the inside of the car, on the 'ceiling'. The straps weren't long enough for me to do that. There was mixed views about waterproofing. I drove along the motorway in a cloudburst that lasted about half an hour. When I got home, I checked the suitcases inside and they were bone dry. When I took the suitcases out to expose the bottom of the cargo bag, that was damp, however the cases weren't wet. I imagine rain was blown under little gaps above the car roof and cargo bag. Would I recommend it? Possibly, it's just the 'neatly' and ease of fastening part I couldn't figure out. My brother in law had a different type and his looked far easier, and quicker to fasten. He got his from Amazon aswell.

A flexible, good value, universal roof bag
You know what you are getting with this. It is a cheaper option by far than a branded roof box, but it does the same job. I think this roof bag is exceptional. When we first used it, we rigged it up the wrong way round. The bag was upside down and so there was no fabric protecting the zips from the torrential rain we had on that day. The bag performed admirably, with only a little damp intruding. It's also an Amazon product and - at the time of writing - their customer service remains the best out there. Thus you can buy with security, as you know that you will be looked after should something go wrong. It may not be the easiest product in the world to adjust and to fix up, nor even to load, but it's literally 1/10th the price of something with a feature set that is only marginally superior. This is real value. Go for it.

Borsa porta oggetti dall'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo
Insomma, promossa a pieni voti.

Goede aankoop.
