Would recommend this for anyone suffering from back problems. Bought it for my son but have had mine for 20+ years. In regular use even in the car and caravan

This was recommended to us by a friend who has lived with back problems for years. He;s had HIS seat for about 20 years! My husband developed severe sciatica caused by a bulging disc and I also was experiencing an aching back especially as the seat in my car is well and truly past its sell by date. We've now got one each - it was the only support that helped him to sit comfortably, at home and in the car and we've both taken our seats to venues such as village halls, where seating can be very uncomfortable. They're easy to port, unobtrusive but goodness, they make SUCH a difference. Since buying ours, we've recommended them to other friends (even loaned ours out to try) and several people have bought them. A brilliant bit of kit!

Excellent. Useful for home

I have a dodgy back from years playing hockey (badly). I do a fair bit of driving for my work (40k+ miles per year) and tend to buy older/high mileage cars and drive them to the ground as it makes economical sense. Although modern car engines last forever these days, the same cannot be said about the driver seat. My choice was either to shell out several 100's or thousands of pounds getting younger cars, buy to SAABs/BMWs or buy this contraption... All I can say is that I am glad I chose the latter option (this is my second as my first one which I had for 3 years was stolen with the car recently), it is actually very comfortable to use although it will feel weird for few days and the higher seating position will take time to get used to, so think twice before ordering the double thickness version and you if you are already too tall for your car. I also used it on few intercontinental plane journeys, in my office and even in my siting room. It is a simple and elegant solution, exactly what I like and need...

These are expensive, but so is visiting the physio and these seem to have really helped with my sciatica so I am very pleased. They are also built to last.

I bought this item as a result of being lent one to try, by a friend. I have been searching for something that would support my back and not slide down the back of the sofa . This helps to give me good and comfortable posture when sitting on the sofa or any chair. I bought two so that I can keep one in the car for when visiting or going to public functions where the chairs are less than comfortable for my back. Nothing complicated and easily portable.

Was really looking forward to using this product as I suffer with very bad back problems. I reviewed the product checked the measurements and all seemed good. The quality is good the design is sound it just was not for me as the hinges dug into my back which again may be contributed to the car seat design not just the backfriend. Also the sides on the bottom part of the seat dug into the back of my legs which surprised me as my bum ain't that big. So I returned the item and was refunded in full no quibble so the seller is sound. A good product overall but not suitable for me which was a shame.

I use this on my favourite chair at home and it has greatly improved my posture

I have been using a back friend in my car and in my lounge chair for years. This was to replace one that was worn. Best thing for lower back pain!

The seat and the back are both too narrow for most adult men. The overall quality appeared okay, but I had to return it because it was too small.
