子供は大喜びで遊んでますが、電池の蓋が簡単に外れすぎです。小さな子供が遊ぶ物なので、色んなところに多少ぶつけたり、落としたりしても大丈夫な様に出来てないと、すぐ壊れてしまうと思います。

Awesome little camera! I bought this for my sons third birthday because he kept stealing cell phones to take pictures. He absolutely loves this camera! The picture quality isn’t amazing being a kids camera but it has a bunch of cool functions. Self timer, frames, video and games!! Plus more!! I highly recommend this toy. Very durable also. takes 4 AA batteries.

This is miles better than those generic no brand kid’s cameras. You are assured of the quality because it’s a Vtech. It uses four AA batteries and based on my observations, the power lasts long enough on a normal alkaline.

This camera, like apparently all other kids cameras, is simply a 15 year old webcam wrapped up in a "camera-like" body. The image quality is absolutely atrocious. I know some might say "But it's just a kid's camera, it doesn't matter!" But as a photographer, I think that these things matter, at least a little. Without a Lot of light, you get either black or super mushy images that are highly subject to camera shake. And if the camera shakes at all, there is terrible rolling shutter jelly effect in the images. In Very good light, you can get things that look like pictures. There isn't a great excuse for this in the current day and age. Just putting the cheapest smart phone camera sensor in here would have produced infinitely better results. The camera module in this unit would cost VTech less than $1 a piece. Whereas a cheap smartphone camera module with massively improved image quality would cost them about $5 a piece. For build quality, although it appears that a lot of thought went into it, there's a glaring flaw that many others have noted: as soon as it's dropped, all the batteries fly out. Did they not even hand this to a child before sending it to market? Additionally, all the games and things would be better left out entirely. Giving a child a camera is a whole other level of expectation of creation and activity than handing them a gamepad, and it would be nice if they weren't the same device.

The camera we received came in a brown box with no cables or instruction guides. After powered up, it failed to operate properly - each menu selection was excessively slow and the games dragged and button input didn't register immediately. We have owned several other VTech devices including a camera without any of these problems. I would recommend that you do not purchase a camera from this vendor.
