This is my second Tenveo 4K PTZ Camera, and it continues to impress! The AI humanoid and face auto-tracking are incredibly smooth and accurate — perfect for our radio station and podcast setup. Great quality 4k zoom in and out video camera. Very easy to set up and mount. Use it for meetings in a conference room. Not to sure about audio quality as I have a separate mic. Definitely good value for the money.

I bought this for streaming pool matches thru OBS. Took forever to get the settings to look good. When i did, i was disappointed that the PTZ controls, within an OBS plugin, didn't control the camera very good. The presets were sporadic and the camera just moves on it's own between different presets and random back and forth. It has even tried looking so far into the base that u can hear the gears skipping..... I have looked into any way to make this work for me, but I think I am at a loss. I am wired with a USB-C and have an Ethernet cable to it for controls. Edit: Customer support was very attentive to my case; most likely because of the 2 star review. They tried their best to help me with my issues. I never did get the camera working with OBS, but it works pretty good with the stand alone software, from PTZ optics. The presets work great, but when playing with the manual controls, occasionally it will just go haywire and spin out of control, past the point it's supposed to stop, causing me to have to reprogram all my presets. Now that i have those kinks worked out, and only use it with the presets, the camera is great. Quality is amazing and the optical zoom, which was a huge selling point, is amazing!!

So I’m a streamer and I bought this camera three years ago, and the amount of stuff that has happened to this camera and has gotten beat up, and it still works amazing. This is the only WebCam I’ve ever had that is able to withstand my streams. The quality is really good. I like the remote. It is a little bit heavy, so make sure to be careful when you’re tilting it on a tripod. I also even have the same cord that it came with. If you’re a streamer and do a lot of stuff that requires of messing up your WebCams. This is the best PTZ ever, and the brand is amazing. I just bought a new updated version of the brand. To try it out. This is worth the money I would say I bought expensive cameras that were $900 and didn’t even last as long as this one did.

Great lens and overall a good camera that does the job in professional environment, so I bought 3 of them, but it has some minor flaws to beware of. Cons: - No built-in microphone, not relevant to me as I am mixing video and sound separately anyway but beware you will need a separate microphone - 4K only on HDMI out, IP streams are 1080p, this might be fixed in future firmware updates - PTZ control over Web GUI is slow, you will want to get a Tenveo PTZ controller/joystick for events for instant control - After power off it doesn't save last position and image settings, if there is little power cut during an event then you have to go yo the Web GUI and readjust everything, also this might be fixed in future firmware update Pros: - Tenveo support was very fast and helpful - in my initial review I pointed out flaws with stuttering stream when cam was powered by PoE, lack of AI, and Tenveo replied immediately and pointed me to a firmware update, brilliant! - Great Sony lense and sharp picture - Quiet zoom and PTZ - Great value - Sturdy aluminium frame - PTZ works great with Tenveo's own PTZ Controller but also with any other Visca compatible ones - AI can follow the presenter and gestures

Good camera fo the price but the colors run a bit warm in my opinion (tried some adjusting but it is touch and go). Set up is challenging as they don't tell you have to get out of Chinese (hint, click the top right corner of the UI login page). The wide angle is nice but we needed to hang it upside down. The picture flipped automatically (yay) but the the controller over the PTZ console did not so everything needs to be run backwards. That is challenging in. multi-camera setup where the others don't need to do that.

My wife has started vlogging and this camera helps her immensely with its tracking capability for her artwork. The form factor is small, video quality is crisp, and the camera setup was quick. The camera is a bit heavy so it needs a good base - we used the kitchen counter.

Le bouton "image mode" présente sur la télécommande, avec ses trois préréglages instantanés: Normal, PC, Brillante, est fort appréciable. DÉTAIL IMPORTANT: La sortie est en USB C et Non USB 3.0. comme écrit ! Connexion de type USB-C vs USB A (classique), et NON USB 3.0. (type imprimante). On connaît tous la "légèreté" des connections USB C, bien pour les smartphones, MAIS ici... nous avons un câble de 2 mètres, très épais, et assez rigide, donc "lourde" ! Heureusement le câble fourni (USB-C vs USB A) à une vis à molette pour son "verrouillage" sur le boîtier. (voir image)

Been using it in our church for more than a year now. The quality is so good especially with the autofocus. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to mount cameras in their church for livestreaming. However the remote controller can be tacky sometimes. Perhaps fin some other ways to control the cameras from your streaming deck

the connection over the RJ45 port is not working. But Tenveo help desk is helping me with my 'small' problems. About the quality of the cams ... this is not just a piece of plastic but real quality materials. I'm sure that when my 2 cams are working via my controller, I'm sure that I can give a 6-star.

Ich arbeite in der Veranstaltungsbranche - seit Corona auch häufig hybrid, das heißt, daß die Veranstaltungen auch oft online gestreamt werden müssen. Für eine professionelle Darstellung ist daher eine gute PTZ Kamera essentiell wichtig. Im professionellen Bereich verwende ich da gerne z.B. eine Panasonic aw-ue40 , diese ist allerdings sehr teuer. Da so ein großes Budget oft nicht vorhanden ist habe ich mich im kostengünstigeren Bereich umgeschaut und da ist mir die Tenveo VL12U aufgefallen. Wichtig war mir, daß die PTZ Kamera 4K Auflösung bietet, zudem sollte sie über ein Lan-Kabel ( Ethernet ) steuerbar sein und die Stromversorgung über PoE ( Stromversorgung über das Ethernetkabel ) funktionieren. All dies bietet die kostengünstige Tenveo VL12U . Also dachte ich mir, ich probiere sie einfach mal aus. Als Zubehör wird folgendes mitgeliefert: Netzteil, Wandhalterung ( inklusive Schrauben und Dübel ), 3m USB C-Kabel ( verschraubbar!! ), Remote ( ohne Batterien!! ), Manual ( englisch ). Nach dem Auspacken also gleich mal das Netzkabel und einen Monitor über HDMI angesteckt. Sobald die Stromversorgung angeschlossen ist fängt die Kamera an sich hin und her zu drehen – offensichtlich eine Funktionsüberprüfung/Kalibrierung. Nach dem Startprozess wird auch die IP Adresse der Kamera kurz auf dem Monitor eingeblendet ( 192.168.1.205 ). Da ich die PTZ-Steuerung gerne über Ethernet machen möchte verbinde ich also gleich den Ethernetport der Tenveo VL12U mit meinem PC, starte meinen Internetbrowser und gebe die IP Adresse 192.168.1.205 ein. Es erscheint das Anmeldefesnter. Sowohl beim Nutzer, als auch Passwort ist standardmäßig admin einzugeben. Es erscheint das Live View Fenster in dem das ( über Ethernet übertragene ) Live-Kamerabild auf der linken Seite angezeigt wird welches auch beim Streaming verwendet wird. Auf der rechten Seite erreicht man die Bild-Einstellungen für die Kamera, bzw. die PTZ-Steuerung und kann Presets speichern und abrufen. Über den Browser können deutlich über 100 Presets ( mehr habe ich nicht ausprobiert )abgespeichert und abgerufen werden, über die Remote besteht allerdings nur Zugriff auf Preset 1-10. Das sollte reichen. Neben der PTZ-Steuerung können auch die PT Speed und die Zoom Speed sowie Zoom +/- und Focus +/- eingestellt werden. Beim Reiter „Image“ kann man das Bild auf den Kopf stellen spiegeln, oder beides – je nach Montagesituation, außerdem diverse Bildeinstellungen wie Helligkeit, Saturation, Sharpness oder Contrast. Beim Reiter “Exposure“ können diverse Blendeneinstellungen gemacht werden. Der Reiter „AWB“ lässt diverse Einstellungen für den Weißabgleich zu. Wenn man zum Reiter ( links ) „Setup“ wechselt können diverse Einstellungen für das Streaming ( Encode Type: H264/H265/MJPEG ) , bzw die Ausgabe über HDMI ( Video-Auflösung – HDMI Out: 720P50 – 4K2997 ) eingestellt werden, bzw. Netzwerkeinstellungen verändert werden. Die PTZ-Steuerung funktioniert ganz gut, allerdings nicht so flüssig wie bei einer Panasonic aw-ue40, aber das kann wohl auch Niemand erwarten . Auch die Scharfstellung des Autofocus braucht natürlich etwas länger funktioniert aber insgesamt ganz gut. Die Bildqualität ist für diese Preisklasse wirklich erstaunlich gut und lässt sich über die vielen Einstellmöglichkeiten noch sehr individuell anpassen – Respekt. Natürlich soll die Kamera nicht nur über HDMI eingesetzt werden, also gleich mal per mitgeliefertem USB Kabel an den PC angeschlossen und auf die Installationsmeldung gewartet – diese kommt aber nicht. Also die Windows Kamera App geöffnet und siehe da, die Tenveo VL12U wird als 2. Kamera sofort angezeigt und ist einsatzbereit. So soll es sein – keine komplizierte Treiberinstallation nötig. Da die PTZ-Kamera auch in kleineren Konferenzräumen zum Einsatz kommen soll und von den Teilnehmern selbst gesteuert werden soll ist natürlich auch die Steuerung über die mitgelieferte Remote essentiell wichtig. Leider werden die 2 benötigten AAA-Batterien nicht mitgeliefert, aber diese sind in jedem Supermarkt problemlos erhältlich, also kein Beinbruch. Mit der Remote lassen sich bis zu 4 Tenveo VL12U steuern, wobei natürlich erst die entsprechenden Ids im Browser-Dialog festgelegt werden müssen. Durch drücken der Preset-Taste gefolgt von den Tasten 1-10 können insgesamt 10 Presets abgespeichert werden. Ensprechend mit der Taste Reset gefolgt von den Tasten 1-10 können die Presets auch wieder gelöscht werden. Durch drücken der tasten 1-10 werden die Presets dann wieder abgerufen – das funktioniert sehr gut. Mit den Tasten UP/Down kann das Bild auf den Kopf gestellt werden – z.B wenn man die Kamera an der Decke montiert. Mit den Pfeiltasten wird dir Steuerrichtung ( L/R, Oben/Unten ) gesteuert, mit dem Button zwischen den Pfeilen fährt die Kamera in die Default Position. Drückt man den Knopf Menu kann man diverse Einstellungen für die Belichtung, Farbtemperatur, Videoformat, PTZ-Speed, USB-Mode etc treffen. Vorsichtig sollte man beim Umstellen des USB-Modes sein da bei einer falschen Einstellung die Bildübertragung abbricht und man auf dem Bildschirm nur noch schwarz sieht. Ich habe mir damit beholfen den blauen „PTZ Reset“-Knopf rechts oben zu drücken – dann werden die Einstellungen zurück gesetzt und die Bildübertragung funktioniert wieder. Mit den Pfeiltasten unter Menu lässt sich die PTZ-Geschwindigkeit verändern. Zoom Slow/Fast ist ja selbsterklärend. Mit L/R Set kann man einstellen, wie das Verhalten der PTZ-Steuertasten ist, das ist nützlich wenn man mal vor oder hinter der Kamera sitzt und nicht dauernd die Richtung umdenken möchte. Diese Taste muss für 10 Sekunden gedrückt werden! Dann gibt es noch die Taste „Auto“ – diese aktiviert den Autofocus. Man kann über „Manual/Far/Near“ den Focus aber auch manuell verändern. Mit „Bright+/-“ kann man die Helligkeit verstellen und mit „Image Mode“ kann man zwischen 3 Voreinstellungen wählen. Die Remote funktoniert sehr gut und aus erstaunlich großer Entfernung wenn man die Kamera von Vorne ( Tenveo lesbar ) steuert, auch von den Seiten funktioniert die Kontrolle noch ziemlich gut, von Hinten ( der Anschluß-Seite ) reagiert die Kamera deutlich schlechter. Insgesamt funktioniert die Kontrolle über die Remote deutlich besser ( größere Entfernung, Winkel ) als über eine Logitech PTZ Pro2. Resume: Die Tenveo VL12U ist für kleinere Videokonferenzen, wo es nicht auf „geschmeidige“ Kamerafahrten ankommt, sondern vor allem mit Presets gearbeitet wird auf Grund ihrer guten Videoqualität, der sehr guten Steuerbarkeit über die mitgelieferte Remote sowie der vielseitigen Schnittstellen ( USB – verschraubbar!!, HDMI, Ethernet ) meiner Meinung nach sehr gut geeignet. Auch für größere Konferenzen ist sie auf Grund ihrer guten Bildqualität und Schnittstellen ( Ethernet mit PoE, RS485, RS232 ) als 2. Kamera sehr gut einsetzbar. Ich bin der Meinung, daß es in dieser Preisklasse aktuell keine PTZ Kamera mit einem besseren Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis gibt.
