I appreciate these door sensors because they seamlessly integrate with a hub and just work. For reference I have 16 as Door Sensors and 20 as Window Sensors as well as 1 I rigged for use on a baby gate for a total of 37 Door/Window Sensors Yolinks door sensors, like any technology, come with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. Here’s a breakdown: Pros: Security Enhancement: They provide an additional layer of security by alerting you when doors are opened or closed, deterring intruders or notifying you of potential threats. Affordability: Compared to systems like Vivint or ADT, which have highly priced devices, Yolinks sensors are more manageable, especially when purchased in multipacks. Convenience: They integrate with smart home systems, allowing remote monitoring via smartphone apps or other devices. You're not tied to a specific security system; cancellation doesn’t render the sensors unusable. Automation: Integration with smart home systems enables automation, such as triggering lights or cameras when a door sensor is activated. Ease of Installation: Designed for easy DIY installation, saving money on professional fees. Battery Operated: Long-lasting battery power ensures functionality even during power outages. Cons: Hub Speaker Limitations: While I appreciate they work with a hub, multiple hubs are needed for full-home coverage, especially for alerting open doors like those leading to a pool. It would be beneficial if notifications could be sent through Alexa directly without setting up routines, akin to how the LG Washtower notifies via Alexa. Initial Cost: There can be a significant upfront cost to purchase and set up a network of door sensors, especially for comprehensive coverage in large homes. Compatibility Challenges: Ensuring compatibility with existing smart home systems or security setups can be challenging, potentially requiring additional equipment or adapters. They may not integrate well with other alarm systems. Color: They only come in white. I ended up spray painting mine since all of my doors and windows are black.

Has been a great addition to our security needs! I love it connects right to my phone. It was easy to install and very adaptive to our needs.

También me gusta poder recibir las notificaciones y tener todo controlado desde la aplicación. En general, estoy muy satisfecha con la compra y definitivamente consideraría agregar más dispositivos YoLink a mi sistema de casa inteligente.

Great system overall and the long-range works well. I have one all the way out in my shed door across the yard. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that after a recent storm it took a few days to get the two door sensors to register again. Once it recovered it's been solid again. Still happy with the product and would recommend. I also put one on my fridge door since is didn't come with an alert when I leave it open too long.
