Works great but may not be necessary.
I bought this device so I could program my Victron Multiplus-II 48V 5000-70 inverter. You can't directly configure settings, enable assistants or update firmware without it. However, once it is configured, if you have a Cerbo-GX and use VRM, you can remotely download and upload the configuration of the device from a web browser. I still needed this to enable the ESS assistant I use, but I no longer have to go outside with my laptop to make any further changes. So if you already have a Multiplus-II and a cerbo, try using remote config with VRM.

The key to success
Purchased RV with full Victron system already installed, but would not accept shore power. Tried diagnosing on own with no success. Got this interface, and with free software I had issue fixed within 15 mins. A little expensive for a USB dongle, but is high quality and works flawlessly

Essential Tool for Easy Configuration
This interface works perfectly for connecting my VE.Bus devices directly to my laptop. The USB-C connection is a great modern update, eliminating the need for extra adapters. It made configuring my Quattro II settings and updating firmware incredibly fast and stable. If you have a Victron system, this is a must-have tool for your kit!

USB C version is the one to get
I installed this in our 2023 TAB 400 camper which has a Victron Multiplus inverter and 400ah of Battleborn batteries. Being USB C I can leave an old Android phone in the camper instead of having to use a laptop. Works perfect. I wish it would charge the Android phone though so I am deducting one star.

Victron tax in that butt. But you need it for lithium batteries
It's a must-have. You might use it once or twice but you need it or lithium batteries

Well designed USB Serial Adaper for Victron Multiplus II
Works great. App opens up when you plug it into an Android. Serial coms is a bit slow to fetch the initial settings, but that's a design decision on Victron's end. Would have been more convenient [for me] of Victron to just add a USB port to the Multiplus...

The plastic, stickers and connectors are clearly low quality but it works flawlessly. I was expecting a bit more from victron but hey, it does allow me to connect to the multiplus and do my config without any issues.
