Ravensburger Sakura Heroes – A Fast-Paced Dice Game for Anime Fans Ages 7 and Up

This game is from Ravensburger, so I was expecting good quality and I was not disappointed. The game is beautiful with pieces that are well made. There are zip top bags to hold the pieces, including an empty one to hold the pieces that get punched out of the cardboard sheets. The game board comes in two pieces and both pieces are two sided so that there are 4 possible versions of the game board and the instruction specify which version to use based on the number of players. After opening the box and punching out the pieces, we read through the instructions. Some of the setup instructions were confusing to us, but once we played the first game, it became more clear and the second and subsequent games were very quick to setup. Gameplay involves multiple rounds with all players frantically rolling their dice at the same time to match the patterns on the game board in order to advance up the mountain. When one player makes it to the top, the game is over and a winner is determined based on the number of diamond points they have won. When my husband and I played the first time, I was the one who reached the top, but he ended up winning because of the random nature of how the points are placed on the board. I feel like there are some things that could be better. First off, the instructions were confusing and frustrating because they did not include any photos of a two player game, which would have helped a lot in clearing up some of the other instructions that were confusing to us.

I bought this for Christmas and I'm glad I did. You simultaneously roll the dice to get a goal tile first. Once you get a goal tile you move up the tree. You don't necessarily win by being the first to the top. It's whoever has the most points based on the diamonds you have collected. It is fast paced. The kids and I really like it. The board and pieces are a good quality. I'd absolutely recommend getting it. Average game is about 15 minutes or so.

I bought this for my 8 yo daughter who loves board games. I originally got it because it was on a huge sale, but honestly it's become one of my favorite games to play. It's fast paced and easy to learn. We're all pretty competitive, but since it's kind of like Phase 10 as far as progression goes, it gives slower players a chance to catch up. Pieces are nice quality, and the characters and artwork are super cute!

This is such a fun game to play with your kids! Instructions are simple and easy to read and to use to teach kiddos how to play.

Got this as a gift for a family member who does game night a lot with friends. They loved it, and it’s perfect to play inbetween bigger games.

This dice game is very fast paced and pretty fun! We first played it with three adults and a 12-year-old. The instructions, which are written in many different languages, seemed very wordy and overly complicated; it took us a few minutes to fully understand the setup. Which is kind of crazy because this is a very simple game. I do feel that the 7+ age range is accurate. My daughter, 12, really liked this one because it was much easier for her to compete against adults than some other games we’ve played in the past. The game design is very adorable. The game board is a two piece puzzle that you can assemble in various different ways based on the number of players or if you just want to make it a little bit more difficult. Game storage is a two piece box, typical of most gains, feels fairly sturdy and is no bigger than it needs to be to store the game. It’s a super fast paced game, the four of us played maybe five games that first try, and from deciphering the instructions to gameplay, it took maybe an hour. We all had a blast and will definitely keep this in our game rotation.

Habe dieses Spiel für meine Nichte gekauft. Sie hat sich mega gefreut und waren auch lustige Runden. Kann ich empfehlen.

Sakura Heroes è un gioco semplice ma davvero divertente, perfetto per i più piccoli. Le mie bambine lo adorano: passano il tempo a esplorare i personaggi, le ambientazioni colorate e le tante possibilità che il gioco offre. Mi piace molto il fatto che possano sperimentare varie situazioni e possibilità, inventando storie e avventure sempre nuove. Non è complicato da usare, il che lo rende accessibile anche ai bambini più piccoli. Unica nota: potrebbe avere qualche difficoltà in più per aumentare la longevità.
