Before breast cancer surgery, I learned many patients would benefit from having the items in this bundle as part of their recovery, so I got mine ahead of time in preparation for the ride home. The super padded cross seat belt pillow took all pressure off my incisions, and is now installed in the driver’s seat of my vehicle. The big, soft, supportive and squishy mastectomy pillow has a torso encircling strap, as well as shoulder straps that keep my incisions well protected. It’s like wearing a portable hug! I live in this pillow, because it is not only comfortable but also handy. I’ve used the pockets for my driver’s license, car keys, health care card, parking place ticket, phone, handkerchief - you name it! And the inside pockets nicely hold the gel cold pack. Either set nicely holds the surgical drains lower than my incisions, and lets me tuck the drain lines in if I’m moving around and don’t want to risk catching them on something. The shower lanyard for he surgical drains has been really useful out of the shower, too. Some of my recovery clothing lacks pockets, so the lanyard works to support my drains, often overnight with no problems.I discovered a surprise feature of the big pillow - chest protection from overly enthusiastic pets! If my Australian Shepherd wants to give me one of his super happy “nose missiles,” he would typically launch upwards and firmly plant his front paws on my chest - not a good thing for a double mastectomy patient! But when I’m wearing the pillow, there’s enough padding to protect me from accidental impacts from a flying 55lb happy dog!This bundle has truly helped my post op recovery from my double mastectomy. Anyone facing this surgery would benefit from each piece of equipment. Highly reccommended!

The design is amazing. The material is so soft, quality craftsmanship including the zipper & straps, love all the pockets, the cushioning is perfect & I’m looking forward to using it during my lumpectomy recovery in a few weeks. Seems every detail has been thought of. The details are spot on, love this purple color, it will really make my recovery so much more comfortable. I’m about to wash it in cold water on gentle cycle… If you’re on the fence about ordering one for yourself or a friend, just do it!! Packaged well & delivered in a timely manner. A must have for anyone having breast or chest surgery. Highly reccommend.

I love this set! I got it in preparation for a lumpectomy with seminal node removal. I chose the purple with dots - very pretty color, and the fabric is so soft! The shoulder straps are comfortable, as is the back strap. I find it easiest to keep the back strap buckled and just loosen/tighten it as needed. The pillow is not heavy, yet still feels sturdy and gives good support. It also keeps your arms from your sides in a comfortable way. I sleep in the pillow, as well as wear it around the house. I find it helps me feel safe & secure; it also helps remind others to be gentle. The seatbelt cover is just as soft as the pillow, attaches easily, and I felt protected. (You can also wear the pillow in the car, depending on your preference. If I had had a mastectomy, I might have chosen the pillow.) The ice pack that came with it is a good size and stays cold for a long time. I did not use the inside side pockets for ice packs. I did not need the drain strap. I would highly recommend this!

Perfect product for making things easier while going through double mastectomy. The pain on the sides under the arms is real and the soft material of this pillow gives me relief. I really appreciate the set belt pillow to.

I got this pillow since I was about to go through top surgery/bilateral mastectomy. Now actually in healing from surgery and getting some use out of it... it's fine. It does its job. It's actually a really good quality pillow, it's soft and the pockets are pretty useful. Unfortunately I have some qualms; most notably the shoulder straps. I often have to keep adjusting them and even then they keep falling off my shoulders. This is the biggest pain in the ass due to the fact I can't be moving my arms around like I did pre-op, so it might be a bit difficult to use depending on what limitations you have and if you have anyone to help you or not. Easy to take off at least, since the straps are those plastic fastening buckles and you can unbuckle them pretty easily.I also think its a little bulky, but like, that's definitely partially the point. Maybe I'm biased because I have gauze and ace wrap around my chest and that adds to percieved bulkiness, but still.

After my surgery, this pillow helped so much. It helped when going from laying to sitting to standing in the recliner, protection from my cats when sleeping, and for carrying items. I am someone who walks around when my hands in my pockets and couldn't while recovering. While falling asleep, this pillow also helped me feel secure and I was able to put my hands in the pockets too! I really appreciated the removable and washable cover. The seat belt cover helped travel home after surgery. It was so nice. I would recommend.

Must have for any breast cancer patient. I bought 2. One stays in my car the other at home. Makes a ride around town less painful. Also the icepacks help.I had a double mastectomy and 1 lymph node removed. This pillow was my best friend. Only time I put it down was when having a hot flash.

Bought this for a friend for after surgery, and it was super helpful. Comfortable, soft, lightweight, easy to use, and provided great support and protection during recovery.

I’m not usually one to write reviews but this is genuinely one of the greatest items I’ve ever purchased. I just had a breast reduction yesterday and this pillow has been with me every minute since. It is convenient, comforting, and comfortable. I’m keeping my chapstick and phone in the front pockets. I’ve been sleeping with it on to prevent me from rolling over. I can prop by phone or a drink up against it when my arms get sore and achey. The seatbelt pad made my trip home from the hospital totally painless and a breeze. It also offers be a bit of protection and a barrier between me, my kids and my dog, to prevent any unwanted pressure or touch around my chest. I am so grateful I bought this set and would highly recommend it to anyone going through breast surgery.
