They definitely smell and instead of cleaning the container for a refill I find it easier to just toss the entire thing or you risk bringing the smell in your house. That being said they catch an insane amount of flies and Ive gotten them 4 times already this summer.

I have tried so many different ways to attract flies into my water bottles. Ok that may sound crazy but it’s really not. I take my water (you can use soda bottles), cut the top off where the top curves to the straight side. Cut or tear the outside plastic bag and dump the inside bag into the bottle. Add warm water to the bottle but leave a couple of inches above the water. The put the top back on only upside down. The flies go in but can’t get out! I tape the lids down for in case the wind blows them over. A great combination is a sticky fly ball (I use the yellow ones) stuck to the outside of the bottle. Flies are very cautious. I was really surprised by that. So when they approach the bottle they will sit on the otter edge of the top. When I put the sticky fly ball next to the bottle they have a perch on which to decide if they are going to go into the bottle! Then they are really stuck for good! That doesn’t negate the ability of the fly bait. It still gets inches of dead flies in the bottle! Bugbane, in my not so humble opinion, IS THE BEST ❣️

This stuff works amazingly well. It does smell like a dirty diaper so that makes sense. So don’t hang it where you could smell it.

They work really well. We live in the country with farms surrounding us and the flies are awful at times. These help to reduce the flies around our swimming pool area. I know they work because of the smell, but it’s really strong. We can smell it sometimes up to 40 feet away. I wish there was a less stinky way, but they do work.

Good refills. Stinky and attracts flies. Put it far away from where you sit or you will smell it.

These refill Fly Trap packets 6 1oz are a great investment. I was amazed how quickly the flies and other insects gravitated to the trap. Each packet should be replaced approximately 30 days. Very simple to do and not messy at all. Chemical free and I highly recommend the product.

This product is amazing! As soon as I use this bait, the flies are instantly attracted to it. In the summer months I have to change the traps often because they fill up so fast and start to stink. I’ve tried other products, but nothing compares to Bug Bane. I just wish the price was a little lower.
