The Elite Gourmet ESB100B has been an excellent purchase. It heats up very quickly and maintains a constant temperature, which makes it perfect for cooking or reheating food in a simple way. It is compact, lightweight and easy to store, ideal for small spaces, bedrooms, offices or as a support in the kitchen.

This burner worked just great for our Recent Camping trip. I highly recommend. The price was on point. Heats up very quickly and cools down fast. Looks good and very easy to use. The dial easily controls the cooking temperatures. Easy power selection. The burner is made of metal and appears to be quite durable.

This little thing saved us during a five day power outage small generator it heated up water and provided us to cook with food in a warm inside area in our house. Thank you so much for the price and how it provided for us sad situation of no power and a generator was amazing.

This is a great little one burner hot plate. It is value priced and works well. The only reason I give this four stars instead of five is how the temperature setting works. There is not actually a low to high heat setting, but rather the knob adjusts how frequently the heating element turns on. For low settings it turns on less frequently than for high settings. This is a simple and inexpensive way to adjust heat, but it may affect cooking some things if a very low temperature is desired. It is great for boiling water and simmering a pot, but the temperature will go up and down if you want a very low temperature due to the element coming on and off. Not a big deal, but just be aware of it. Also, if you run it at the highest setting for a long while you may burn out the thermal overload sensor. These elements are common in electrically heated appliances like coffee pots and hot plates. If you do burn out the thermal overload sensor, then the hot plate won’t work until you replace it. You would need some basic skills with a soldering iron or wire crimpers and you need a new sensor, which is a type of thermal fuse and which is readily available. You probably won’t have this issue, but I did after I heated a large pot of water for a long time and I had to replace the thermal sensor. Overall, it is a good little economical hot plate.

This is awesome...only that when it hits a certain heat level it shuts down for a bit, then comes back on. So I just turn up the nob a little at a time to adjust and it does make some poping sounds but that's just the heat expanding

It works perfectly, the size makes it much more practical to cook outside... If your car has a connection you are a lucky person to be able to take it with you.

After a few months I got rid of this countertop burner because even though I'm careful not to get things messy, it does happen to the best of us and it got dirty but by the time I finished cooking it had baked onto the black plastic (which I don't think that's safe) but anyway I tried everything to clean it off but to no avail it stays stained and if you're a clean person as I am it's embarrassing because it makes me feel like people will think I don't keep things clean. Also I couldn't get the coil to lift up to clean under it so yea I tossed it not just for those reasons but also because when it cycled on and off, it just didn't make me reassured that it was cooking my food properly since as it would cycle off my food would totally stop the cooking process totally then when it cycled back on it took forever for my food to get hot enough to start cooking again and when it finally did start cooking again some times it would get everything hot but not hot enough before it cycled off again and some times it would cycle back on but get hotter than the last time it cycled on and start to either splatter the oil everywhere or start burning everything. Yea never again I'll figure something else out for what I needed that for. Not safe in my standards,not reliable at all and most definitely not worth the almost $12 . I do not recommend this one. Don't get me wrong though, I have other small appliances in the ELITE GOURMET brand and absolutely love them, like my egg cooker and rice cooker (please see my reviews on these items if interested in those products). I also have an ELITE GOURMET mini waffle maker (I bought used at a thrift store, it was perfectly clean lol) and love it so much. So love the ELITE GOURMET brand and so far a lot of their small appliances but I don't know why the difference in quality for this small appliance ELITE Gourmet Coutertop Burner). So don't shy away from the brand because of one item. Maybe they'll read this and start thinking of a way to make this one way better or get rid of it totally and start over with a better quality one. Either way I love all of my other ELITE GOURMET small (mini) appliances. Just not this one peticular one. So to finish...not durable not easy to use but the size is okay

Works well on our generator when the the power is out.
