Chewy ice!!!
So I am anemic and eat ice constantly, have for years!! I first purchased a bullet ice maker but unfortunately it crapped the bed after a year of everyday use of 8/24 hrs a day of ice making ( expected tho with the amount of usage). I had been looking at the nugget ice machines for awhile now bc I love chewy ice. I finally came across this machine during Labor Day and it was on sale along with a coupon of $20off!!!! I read the reviews and compared this machine to a ton of others and they were satisfactory, I also wanted an ice machine that was made in the USA. After much research I discovered this was in fact, so I purchased it! I received it and loved it. It was small, sleek, and the texture of ice was so delicious!! Was just what I was looking for CHEWY!!! After using for about 3 wks it started making a weird noise and no longer made any ice. I had purchased the warranty for 3 years, which I’m glad I did. I immediately contacted the company and they were soooo good! They replied quickly and got a new machine sent out to be fast!! I love this machine the quality of the ice is soooo yummy and soft!! It makes a full basket of ice in about an hour and a half. It is a little wet when it first is made but I let it set in the basket and transfer to the bag and it’s fine. I have read some reviews and ppl were complaining how it didn’t keep the ice frozen in the basket..no it doesn’t but it’s not expected to. But for the price, versatility, capacity of ice it Makes, and the performance of this machine for being so small is amazing!!!! Also the customer service of the company is exceptional!!! I would definitely recommend this product!!

Awesome countertop unit!
I bought this for my wife as a surprise birthday present. She LOVES pellet ice, and she (we all do) loves this unit. It makes great pellet ice and does so quickly. My only "issues" with the unit is that it doesn't have a large reservoir, so you have to refill it fairly often (not enough to dislike the unit) and it makes wet ice. This makes the extra you put away freeze together (but not terribly). The more ice it makes, the drier it does become though. A couple of things I'd like to clarify from other users--1) the unit is NOT very noisy. You can hear it, but it isn't enough to be annoying. 2) this unit makes PELLET ice just like "SONIC". Sonic ice is pellet ice. This is NOT bullet ice some have stated. Bullet ice is hollow on one end and well, "bullet" shaped. I do not believe this unit will make 33 #'s of ice a day however. That is over 4 gallons of water. It might but I doubt it so if you are needing that much ice look to other units. I would HIGHLY recommend this unit, especially if you want it for a few drinks or you can build up a stockpile in the deepfreeze.

The biggest piece of junk that I've ever purchased.
I have really tried to be patient with this machine, but I'm officially fed up with it and the amount of time that I consume un-jamming it. The PROBLEM is that the ice dispenser is located in the right corner of the machine. Therefore, the ice dispenses and fills up only at the far right of the machine. Therefore, every 5 minutes, the ice piles up and stops producing ice until I come and unjam it by spreading the ice evenly across the dispenser tray. The ice dispenser is faulty, as it should clearly be located in the middle of the machine, so when the ice falls, it will distribute evenly across the entire ice tray. I have to monitor this machine just like I monitor a busy two-year old. Every five minutes (like clockwork,) I have to babysit this machine because the ice dispenser jams and I have to come and unjam it. This is the only way for the machine to start back producing ice. I cannot get anything productive done when this machine is on, bc I have to stop and attend to it EVERY five minutes. It's SOOOO frustrating and time-consuming, and I no longer use it. It consumes all of my time going back and forth every five minutes. I wish that it was stated in the product description that the ice dispenser was located on the right side of the machine. I would've purchased a different brand, so that I would have a useful ice maker for my family and I to easily use it often. I am fuming, bc now I just have a huge dust collector taking up space on my countertop.

Nugget Countertop Ice Maker
When our fridge's ice maker gave up the ghost, and doubts about the cleanliness of its water/ice because of its age crept in, the Nugget Countertop Ice Maker with Soft Chewable Pellet Ice became our go-to solution. We were in a bit of a bind, wanting ice water at dinner without the hassle of buying and storing big bags of ice from the store. What drew me in was the promise of chewable ice - those small, pebble-like pellets that somehow make every drink taste better. This machine can hold about 30 ounces of water, ensuring our family of four is never left ice-less. It smartly stops making ice when full, a feature that's appreciated. However, the built-in handle feels a bit flimsy, making me cautious and opt for a two-handed grip whenever I move it. The machine isn't whisper-quiet, which is a bit of a setback for someone like me who's sensitive to noise, though the rest of my family doesn't seem to mind. A visible water level indicator would be a significant improvement, as guessing when to refill isn't ideal. But since it churns out ice fairly quickly, it's not much of a bother to just top it off as needed. Despite its few quirks, this ice maker has earned its spot on our countertop. Its functionality and convenience outweigh the minor inconveniences, such as noise and the lack of a water level indicator. Not having to store a bulky bag of ice in the freezer - which inevitably turns into a solid block - is a big plus. We're definitely keeping it. It fits our needs perfectly, ensuring we always have ice on hand without sacrificing precious freezer space.

Delivers quality chewable ice. Passed the wife test.
Simple, effective. For this price point I can't see anything wrong with it. The minor drawbacks are barely an issue (sorta loud depending on where you put it, I had it on a hollow cabinet so the entire thing was amplified. It's not very loud on the sidewalk outside.) Also the ice does tend to pile up under the chute, triggering the "ice full" shutoff prematurely. This is not a big deal because...if you live with it, you can easily swipe it clear in passing, and even if it prevents some ice from being made...it makes the stuff so quickly that you will hardly notice. I highly recommend this product to anybody who finds themselves making daily trips to specific gas stations for "the right kind of ice"... I got it for my "wife"... and it was.... life changing for both of us. If you or someone you know is an "ice eater"... this product is the gateway to a better life. Buy it.

Ingenious design
Purchased for the wife. I really had no idea about what was a good design or bad, only the ice size seemed to matter to the better half. What I got was a really cool designed ice maker that works. Getting into the weeds now: there are two types of ice, wet and dry. Dry is similar to what you get from an ice tray made at home. Wet is what you get from this machine. That is not a bad thing. The water reservoir also holds the ice basket. You can pour the water through the empty basket or pull the basket to add water if it holds ice. The water is pumped into the freezing tube built into the back side of the unit, where it is pushed up by water pressure as it freezes and as it exits the tube, a steal pin breaks the ice off which then slides into the basket for use. As it sits there, it will melt a little bit which allows that water to the be returned to the freezing unit. As it does that it also pre-chills the water which makes freezing more efficient and slightly faster. If all the water put in the unit is allowed to be made into ice it will begin backing up the little chute until it blocks that little steal pin that breaks off the formed ice. This stops the unit. Once enough of the ice has melted to clear that chute, it will start up again and reform the ice. Cons: if you keep making ice for use later by removing the ice to a freezer and refilling the machine to make more it will just keep churning and you will be happy. Until you discover that the ice you moved into the freezer has turned into a block of ice, because as I said in the beginning, this ice is WET. As far as I can tell, my wife has given up on trying this and just turns it on or calls me to do so if she is out. She uses what she wants and either lets it do its thing or turns it off. I filter my own water so I will not have any buildup issues. If you (or I) were to use tap water, I can see all kinds of issues with buildup over time. The unit is really easy to clean and use. The ease of use is simple if you follow the manual, it needs access to air along the sides and back to dissipate heat. You cannot jam this into a tight spot blocking airflow nor can you run it while it is covered or enclosed. If you do, it will be destroyed or at least dramatically decreasing the lifespan. As built, it should last long enough to get out the value placed into it with purchase. It could last even longer but in today’s day and age, that is not so likely.

A Game-Changer for Coffee Enthusiasts!
I've always been particular about my cold coffee drinks and Frappuccino's, and finding the perfect ice has been a constant struggle until I stumbled upon the Nugget Countertop Ice Maker. This machine is nothing short of a miracle for anyone who takes their ice seriously, especially for coffee aficionados like myself. First off, the quality of the ice is unparalleled. The soft, chewable pellet ice it produces is perfect for cold coffee beverages, allowing the drink to be cooled efficiently without watering it down too quickly. The texture of the ice is exactly what you'd find in high-end coffee shops, making every sip of your homemade Frappuccino or iced coffee feel like a luxurious experience. The machine's capacity to churn out 34lbs of ice per day is impressive, ensuring that I'm never short on supply, whether I'm hosting a gathering or just enjoying my daily coffee routine. The one-click operation feature is a testament to its user-friendliness – a single press, and it's all set to deliver the ice magic. Another aspect worth noting is its self-cleaning function, which is a lifesaver. It keeps the machine hygienic with minimal effort, ensuring the ice tastes fresh every time. Plus, its sleek stainless steel black design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also makes a great addition to my coffee bar. It blends seamlessly with my other appliances, enhancing the overall look of my kitchen. Lastly, the portability of this ice maker is a feature that cannot be overlooked. It's compact enough to fit comfortably on my countertop without taking up too much space, yet it's powerful enough to meet all my ice needs.

Love it... except.... (Update a week later)
I am adding to my review a week after the original review below. The seller's customer service has been excellent. They wrote to me, were energetic about finding solutions, we arrived at one, and not only am I satisfied... the more important thing is I give 5 stars for customer support, communicating. They have been excellent. Excellent. This really matters. And... ... given the mostly very positive reviews, I suspect I just had a machine that is one of a kind. That it just hasn't worked properly. But I feel this is unique to my situation, given the high star reviews. I must also say, the ice maker makes ice very fast. And it is simple to use. Both big plusses. But the seller's energy in communicating has been top shelf. High marks for that... From a week ago: Love the ice and ease of use, especially my missus. Super easy to use. Except… … It runs almost all the time. I have to find a balance between overfilling which is easy to do. Overfilling meaning you cannot fill to the recommended topped off level, because if even a little nugget ice melts and you’re topped off to the recommended level, it can go into into a viscous cycle where it runs essentially constantly because the water level bumps up enough if even a little ice melts and you’re in that constant run cycle, or, you have to keep water lower than the recommended water level, and then you end up having to baby sit it far more than two other ice makers we have or had… where then only runs a little less than almost all the time but because one has had to use less water to not get into the melted ice/overflow/constant cycling zone. I don’t know if a somewhat larger reservoir would help this, or… I don’t know. Sadly, I am on the cusp of returning it because even with the lower than recommended water level, it just runs and runs, and runs.. going into a ice full pause mode for usually no more than 3-4 minutes… then it will run for 3-5 minutes, or longer. And all this is without having used any ice. Using ice, one expects to have to add used water. For sure. Even then my opinion is the reservoir could hold a bit more separate from this crazy cycling constant run thing. Also of note, our house is kept very cool. No drafty air running up against the ice maker. I think it is just the way it is but I do have in the back of my head, is this unit faulty?? It should not run this much… especially when I have had 2 other ice machines to compare it to. Am saddened… I have to find a balance between overfilling which is easy to do. Finding you cannot fill to the recommended topped off level, because if even a little nugget ice melts and you're water level is to the recommended fill level, it can go into into a viscous cycle where it runs essentially constantly because the water level will get bumped even slightly, and then it melts ice, and you’re in that constant run cycle, or... .. you have to keep water lower than the recommended water level, and then you end up having to baby sit it far more than two other ice makers we have or had. Where then only runs a little less than almost all the time. But because one has had to use less water to not get into the melted ice/overflow/constant cycling zone, a Catch-22. I don’t know if a somewhat larger reservoir would help this, or… I don’t know.
