This product is easy to use, instructions lacking the package gives you everything you need. You will need a pair of wire cutters and a pair of wire strippers. Unlike any other standard pressed connector, this one can be reused if the cable becomes problematic.

Dont buy these. They are a nightmare. If a breeze hits the cable as someone walks past the router, my wifi goes out. Then i have to push the connectors and tighten the nuts. The nuts do not grip the wire sheathing which causes the cable rotate. I used electrical tape to thicken my cat7 cables so the nuts would bite better, which seemed to work a bit. Then the nuts magically come loose. I tightened these things down as far as it goes with pliers and. They. Still. Come. Loose. I paid $3.50 a piece fir this junk over a year ago. Im soo fed up im now ordering new cat7 connectors and redoing all my cables. Such a waste of my time.p

Ran cat 7 in my whole house used these to run into the back of my network switch. They worked perfectly i have 2gb running to everything in the house. Over kill sure. But I found 2000ft of cat7 for 75 doll hairs at micro center.

This is the first time I've used "toolless" RJ45 connectors, and I must say I am impressed with the ease, convenience and quality of these AMPCOM connectors. It took me a couple of practice tries to finally get a connector installed that I was happy with because I haven't had any recent practice, but I really like the way it turned out. I like that these connectors come with end covers for storing/transport, but think the money could have been better spent if they had included some reducing sleeves to accommodate smaller diameter cables. Overall a quality product that takes some of the hassle out of making custom cables, and the reusability is big bonus.

Fast shipping, Had issues trying to get a cable to pass after 4 tries I gave up and just used shielded keystone jackets. Pins bend very easy when trying to press and close connector.

I could not give this anything more than a 2 cause of flaws in the design. There is NO SUCH THING AS TOOLLESS DESIGN! How do you cut open the cable and jacketing, how do you trim the small leads to fit into the bracket? OK after fiddling with this design, and following no instructions as non were provided in the box, I got the cable to test correctly, but the minute I moved the cable or put ANY stress on the connection I lost shielding and got miss wired and split pair alerts on my tester! the twist clamping mechanism does NOTHING to actually stabilize the joint like a strain relief boot and properly crimped connection would. Save time and effort, either buy already terminated ended cabled or invest in a RJ45 crimper and ditch this toolless China crap.

These are not the quality that I was hoping for. One of the Cord Grips was not even threaded. Making it unusable. The rest of the grips screw into the body, but do not feel secure. Of the six connectors, I've only gotten 4 to work at 1gig.
