Outdoor Liquid Ant Bait Stakes, 12-Pack, Ready-to-Use Ant Killer Trap

after some research, i paired these stakes with neem oil and diatomaceous earth to get rid of ants in my indoor house plants. and it killed all of my ants within a week or two, this was a huge savior for my plants. but when i checked the stakes afterwards i couldnt actually see any ants in them. thats okay, the ants take this and go back to their colony and share it, then they all die. not totally sure which thing killed all my ants, but a combo of these 3 did the trick perfectly worth the price to get all 3. im sure these could be reused and last a long time, the ants only used a little bit. they are also pretty small and dont stick out very much!

These TERRO Outdoor Liquid Ant Bait Stakes solved my ant problem quickly. They were easy to place around the outside of my house, and within a couple of days I noticed a significant drop in ant activity. After about a week, the ants were completely gone. I like that the stakes are weatherproof and come ready to use, so there's no mess or mixing involved. The design keeps the bait protected while allowing ants to carry it back to the colony, which seems to be much more effective than just spraying the ants you can see. If you're dealing with outdoor ant trails or ants getting into your home, these bait stakes are definitely worth trying. I'd buy them again without hesitation.

I use these anywhere I notice an ant mound or trail. They swarm it almost immediately, and by the next day the activity is usually gone. I deal with horrible ant problems every summer, and Terro has been the most reliable spot treatment I’ve found.

The TERRO liquid ant baits for outdoor use do an okay job overall, but they don’t feel quite as effective as they could be. They work, just not as aggressively or consistently as you might expect if you’ve used TERRO products indoors or had really stubborn ant activity outside. On the positive side, the stakes are convenient and easy to use. You simply place them in the ground near ant trails, entry points, or areas where ants are active, and you’re done. There’s no mixing, no mess, and no guesswork. The design keeps the bait protected from rain and pets, which is important for outdoor placement. Having 12 stakes in the package also gives you flexibility to cover multiple problem areas around the yard, patio, or foundation. The liquid bait does attract ants, but not always as quickly or aggressively as hoped. In some spots, ants found the bait fairly fast and activity picked up around the stakes. In other areas, it took much longer for ants to show interest, and some stakes seemed to be mostly ignored. When ants do feed on it consistently, you do see a reduction over time, but it’s more gradual than dramatic. Effectiveness feels a bit hit or miss depending on the ant type and location. It helps reduce visible activity, but it doesn’t always feel like it fully wipes out the colony. In my experience, you may need to reposition stakes, use additional treatments, or be patient longer than expected to see meaningful results. It’s helpful as part of an overall ant control strategy, but it may not be strong enough on its own for heavier infestations. Build and formulation quality are fine. The stakes hold up well outdoors, don’t leak, and are easy to remove or relocate. They also last a reasonable amount of time before needing replacement, which is good for ongoing control rather than a one-time fix. Overall, these TERRO outdoor ant baits are useful and do provide some level of control, but they aren’t a miracle solution. They work best for light to moderate ant problems and when ants actively take the bait. With stronger attraction or faster colony impact, they could easily be a five-star product. As they are now, four stars feels fair.

Terro makes the best products for ants. We had an issue this year with ants by the pool. I’m sure because all of the rain and humidity in NJ. I put a few of these around the pool and ants are gone. I’ve also used other Terro ant products and bait traps with equal success.

Doesn’t OK I used it before but sometimes it’s kinda hard to push it down into the ground but anyway have a solution so I’ll buy the ones that just lay down. Great product though and he got here fast before my beneficial bugs got here so I can at least eradicate somebody ants before I put them out.

If you have problems with ants in your home, even the random ones that don't trail properly, these stakes will help tremendously. Kitchen ants, bathroom ants, random ants... they all go away when I put these around the foundation of my home. My gripe is on this order there were only 8 stakes in my box marked 12. I'm not in the mood to initiate the return process and wait again for the next box to come. I don't get many days off from work, so I'll settle for having 8. My house does best with at least 6 installed, and I hoped to have the second set of 6 waiting for when the first run out.

If you have ants you probably don't want to cut corners on buying cheaper baits because you need to kill the colony fast. I have these Terro stakes which are well-designed if you get ant hills outside near your house. Stick these in the ground near the ant hill and the poison will be transmitted to the queen and colony which will stop them from getting into your house or your outdoor AC unit. The perimeter sprays are a good second defense, but ineffective if the ants go under the soil.
