On Dangerous Ground

Jack Higgins never fails to deliver a good read. Good characters, good plot, some mysteries, some action, some drama and a nice ending and resolution. Recommend any of his books!

Just re-read the first couple of Dillon novels by Jack Higgins, and they remain great books. Compelling story, well-drawn characters-and Dillon as the charming, lethal "rogue" that Ferguson so often refers to. Sadly, so much of that has been lost over the years, for seemingly mechanical exercises in "this year's book". .

Lots of twists and turns. And the bad/good guy always wins. Great story line and well developed plot and characters.

Well written book, just enough suspense and action to keep you riveted, and the story moves along well. I give it a must read!

In Book 3 of the Sean Dillon series, Higgins is starting to flesh out Dillon’s character. He’s expanding beyond a cardboard cutout who only utters one sentence at a time to a more complex character. Higgins is also starting to define Dillon not by her adventurous exploits, but by his relationships with other people - notably women. In this book, he connects with three very different women for three very different outcomes. As usual, in Book 3 Higgins is a master of atmosphere, describing settings in a way that makes you feel as if you are there. Also as usual, there are some silly twists and plot holes you could drive a truck through. But this isn’t literary fiction. It’s all good fun.

A good auld thriller in a very easy to read style. As with all the Sean Dillon books they're ideal to fill in some time when you just want to read sometinhg that is not too taxing.

I love the Jack Higgins writes about Sean Dillion and his adventures. It is a wonderful book. I finished it in a day. I would recommend reading all of the Sean Dillons adventures starting at book 1.

The novels by this author is a must read I do so love the series with Sean Dillon as the hero I find them so enjoyable that once i've started to read these books I find it had to put them down and if you like these sort of story lines like I do then it's the book for you. I would highly recommend them. Great story lines. Great read

Another good Sean Dillon adventure with lots of suspense and new twists every few pages. Hard to put down before the last page.

A somewhat different ambience to Sean Dillon's usual projects, makes this novel a memorable one. The focus on Sean and Hannah anticipates a growing relationship between these two.
