Elitech Refrigerant Scale 220 lbs, HVAC Freon Charging Scale, LMC-100A+

Worked great. Used it to top off the refrigerant on my HVAC system. Comes in a case, seems durable and accurate enough for my needs. Easy to use and understand. The control has a backlight in case you need to use in the dark.

Unlike some reviewers who are stating this 220lb total capacity scale has no Tare function and does not zero - I have no idea why they are stating that. Because of those statements - I went to Elitech website and read the online user manual for the LMC-100A scale. The Z/T button (gee who knew = Zero/Tare) zeros out and Tares the scale. An unopened glass jar with metal lid containing 15oz of Natural Peanut Butter weighs 1.54lbs or 24.6 Ounces (Yes it DOES have just OUNCES MEASUREMENT) or .700Kgrams You press the 'Unit' button to change units. Press the Tare button and it goes to Zero. Take off the Peanut Butter and it reads -0.700Kgrams. Tare it out - and it would read Zero. Don't tare and just shut the scale OFF; and when you turn it back on - it reads the LAST measurement it was previously displaying. In this case - negative or -0.700Kgrams. Seems like a fine scale to me. Just got it today; and since it has a 220lb total capacity - it will definitely handle any of my refrigerant needs. Resolution is 5grams or 0.176368 Ounces {It starts reading OUNCES in TENTHS; Kg in THOUSANDTHS; & POUNDS in HUNDREDTHS} Requires 1 regular 9V battery [included]. Glad I purchased it.

It’s a really good scale. I’m a maintenance technician at an apartment complex. The way they have it molded into the box is really nice. Digital side everything is raised so you’re able to zero out. You can turn on turn off, switch units with gloves on.

Great hvac scale

Everything was fine except the annoying 9V-battery cover in the hand-held digital display that kept popping open by itself. I had to put a tape over it to keep it in place. This showed a poor snap-fit design where the tolerance study was amiss and the cantilever snap-fit design was loose and could not hold itself to cover the 9V battery compartment in the hand-held digital controller when it was in right-side up position. This also suggested a design by an inexperienced engineering without any validation or rigorous testing. I hope the rest would work reliably for a long time. I questioned the ethics and procedure of the reliability & quality department if they have such organization to ensure that the product is trustworthy.

Great scale for HVAC/R. I’ve used it many times. Easy to use and durable.

It worked exactly like I expected. Very accurate. I would recommend it.

Great scale for BHO closed loop extractions and the price is fitting, very fitting. It does tend to sway up and down by .01LBS over time, easy way to stop it from swaying up or down in weight is to turn the scale off and on when checking weights etc. Saves weight read as well which is nice given the process time for transferring solvents and refrigerants.

The scale is very accurate and it is very easy to use. I like that when the case is opened the scale can stay sitting inside and be used. Case is a good quality too!
