From tears to cheers. My in-law's "vintage" desktop started acting up last year. Booting up intermittently or freezing up in the middle of a task. Turns out the backup tasks quit running years ago. It wasn't easy finding ram for this "vintage" pc at a decent price. Very glad I found these. Ordered these sticks and had them delivered to my wife's parent's place in HI on our last visit. The pc booted up right away without issues. As soon as I could I copied "My Documents" and all important files to their OneDrive cloud storage. There were hundreds of family photos that dated back to 2009 that weren't backed up anywhere. We continued to use this desktop for the couple of weeks we were there without any hiccups. Good ram at a fair price and quick delivery. I can recommend this product.

This was a perfect fit for me and my computer. I am not very computer saavy, but I was able to accomplish the following. I received the A-tech order, drove to my office about three miles away. Unplugged the computer, pulled the computer cover. Removed the old RAM, 2 sticks of 1 gig each. Replaced those with the new a-tech, replace the cover. Add power, boot the computer. Test the RAM. everything worked perfectly and the system said, 4gb of ram. All ran perfectly, picked up speed. Shut the computer down and was back home in 35 minutes. That was quick and easy. Also the price is very hard to beat. It has worked flawlessly since that time. Yes I would buy it again, I plan to to add another 4gig to my system.

I purchase several things on Amazon, and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Seller's have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

My present PC had 2GB's of RAM, with it's 4 slots holding 512 MB's of RAM each. My PC will hold up to 8 GB's of RAM, so I decided to give these a try. I took 2 old modules out and replaced them with these, and left the 2 other modules in there so that my total memory would be 5 GB's. My PC started acting up doing it this way, my startup menu's graphics would become distorted in minutes, though the speed of the PC seemed faster at first. A-Tech emailed me and asked if I was pleased with my purchase, and I told them what problems I was having and what I thought would fix it. The only solution they offered was to replace the modules I ordered from them with faster modules from them for the same price, which was a nice offer but one that wasn't needed. The problem turned out to be that my new RAM modules, even though they have the same specs as the older ones (except for memory size, obviously), don't like working with my older RAM modules. I took the last 2 older RAM modules out, and all the distortions went away. Not sure why the A-Tech spokesman wouldn't have known that doing this would have helped, maybe this is just a problem with my specific computer, though I did read online at several different sites that this is not an uncommon problem when adding RAM. Still, I do appreciate the correspondence from A-Tech, and their memory modules are working fine. I may order another pair, since the price is right and could help even more. Shipping was on time and in good shape.

Got 8g for my pc, Dell xps 710 and so far it works and been smooth. Unlike the motoeagles ram sticks which work but than failed later on

I've got an HP A6152N machine retired from desktop use, serving as my PLEX media server, running Ubuntu Linux 14.10. I wanted to upgrade from the stock 3GB RAM and ordered 8 GB from eBay which matched the description of the HP RAM. Installed and the machine was dead. After some back and forth with the vendor, he said "Sorry, these don't work with Intel motherboards." Would have been nice to have stated that in the product description. So they are going back but I get to eat the shipping charges. So I went to Amazon, found these A-Tech memory cards and ordered with trepidation. Received them yesterday, pulled out two of the 512MB cards from the HP, replaced with the A-Tech cards, pressed the power switch, and *YES*, the machine booted, and I'm up and running. All 6GB are available. I'm very pleased, now have to decide if I want to replace the other bank and go all the way to 8GB. Update 1/6/2015: I did go all the way to 8 GB, purchasing an additional pair of cards from A-Tech, and moving the original 1GBx2 cards to another machine in the house. Working great, again very pleased.

I ordered a 4GB kit, 2gbX2 PC2-5300 to extend the life of an old Lenovo computer. The RAM arrived promptly and the modules slipped easily into the RAM slots and the computer recognized them and they've been running problem-free for about three weeks. How easily did the modules slide in? Each one slid in with minimal force. I didn't even have to lay the tower case down for leverage. That's pretty unusual in my experience. Lots of third-party RAM puts up a struggle and requires more force than seems wise. I have to say if I had read all the negative reviews here I might have ordered from some other vendor. The reports of mis-matched kits disturbed me enough that I used CPU_Z to check the memory manufacturer. It says both modules were manufactured by Crucial, one in 2011 and one in 2013. I have no complaints. Windows 7 no longer complains about running low on RAM.

This RAM works fine by itself, however, it doesn't appear to be compatible with other brands. I purchased it with hopes of using it with my existing 2gb RAM to give my system a boost. Unfortunately it was not compatible with my existing RAM (Kingston) or 3 others brands (Hynix, Micron, Samsung) all of which are the same specs. Overall I'm satisfied with the RAM. I doubled my capacity but would rather have the 6gb instead of 4gb.
