Excellent for my senior dogs
I got this for my senior dog who has back and joint pain. At first, she wouldn’t eat them as they’re a crunchy texture like a wafer,so I put them in Greenies pill pockets. That worked OK but I’m not convinced she was chewing it enough. Now I crushed it with a rolling pin and put it on her food. She seems to love it this way as if her food taste even better than before. Lol. She’s 13-1/2 and enjoying her walks more than she was able to before. Sometimes running like she did in her younger days and it does my heart so good to see that. Research shows undenatured collagen type 2 (UC-II) is more effective than glucosamine they work well together, and a small amount of glucosamine is included in the supplement as well as other products well known for helping with inflammation and pain. NOW is a great brand and I buy some of their supplements for myself. This also has the NASC quality seal, which makes me trust it more. I now give it to both of my dogs because the other one just entered his senior years and I want to help prevent back and joint pain for him as long as possible.

Appears to work, may not be super palatable without help
It smells kind of not great but our dogs take it no problem with a bit of wet food smeared on top. They won't eat it straight out of the "box" though. (Disclaimer - our dogs have been conditioned to take meds) It does seem to work! Both of our older dogs are more mobile (jumping up again) once we put them on it. And generally more active. I take the human version for myself and quite a bit of joint pain has gone away.

Worth a try-give it time to work
It took a few weeks to see improvement in my dog's mobility but I have noticed significant changes. Unfortunately, my dog does not care for the taste so I dissolve them in bone broth and mix into his food. He also gets green lipped mussel and egg shell membrane powder, bone broth, and SAMe in addition to the UC-II and I think the combination has helped him tremendously.

Value is great and a great vitamin for joint health
Not sure these are working just yet as my puppet has a mystery limp. Can’t MRI him due to anesthesia complications. X-ray didn’t show why he won’t put weight on it. But for a picky pup he likes these. I’ll continue to try as I know UCII makes a difference in me. Recommend!

Do not buy!
Do not buy! This product gave my daughter’s dog a grand mal seizure. Apparently this form of collagen can mess with the electrolytes and create an imbalance which triggers a seizure. I strongly advise anyone to read and do research before giving this to your dog.

Awesome
This was referred to me by my vet. My boy already is on cosiquin, so I added this and saw a difference in 1 month.

Lifelong joint problems overcome with UC-II supplements
Long ago when my dog Moose was only a couple years old, he had a severe limp due to pain in his shoulders. I had him treated him for tendinopathy in his front shoulders. Thankfully he recovered after several months of treatments. However, the vet showed me a problem with Moose's hips: he had flat spots on the ball joints in his hips. He always favored his back, right leg whenever he trotted or ran, skipping to minimize that foot touching the ground. Now I knew why. I began giving him glucosamine supplements, and have been doing so for 5 years without improvement. Fast forward to today. He was running ahead of me, putting weight on his back right leg, and no skipping! About a month ago I replaced the glucosamine for NOW Pets, UC-II supplements. Definitely recommend if your pet has joint stiffness or pain.

Big improvement in joints & mobility!
Previously used Elk Antler Velvet powder or pill form for our older dogs and cat. Read about this UC2 undenatured collagen & went searching for it online, which lead me to this product. I mix it into their food (if there's any liquid in the food it simply disolves instantly) and they injest it with their regular meal. Much to my surprise we've seen a big improvement in their mobility with in days of beginning to add it to their meals. Really big improvement! The Elk Antler Velvet was great but this is even more effective & much easier to use. I just bought a 2nd bottle for our dog; I'm trying out a different product for the cat that's a powder & easier to add to his meals (our cat just turned 18 & gets several supplements).
