This is a great steamer pot that I use for browning meat and poultry and cooking soups, and steaming salmon, and several other things, it's well made and easy to clean. Works great on my induction cooktop.

I’ve used the Mockins 3 Piece Premium Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Steamer Pot Set daily for over a month now, and it is an excellent design built to last. 7 years ago I would boil chicken or fish everyday and eat raw vegetables. Then a friend gave me a rice cooker with steamer basket. I used the rice cooker a couple times, but used the steamer daily. And discovered vegetables steamed were easier to eat/digest, and fish/poultry taste better steamed opposed to boiling. The Mockins 3 Piece Premium Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Steamer Pot Set was an upgrade to the aging rice cooker/steamer. The main 3 quart saucepan heats up fast on low/medium heat and excellent for occasional tasks like boiling eggs. The main feature is the 2 quart steamer insert which is big enough to steam both vegetables and meat at the same time. The finish is slick and they are solid. I was using one of those little steamer baskets which really fit any pan but has all these little parts to it! It broke after many uses and I could not get it clean properly so....I went looking for a better one and found this! This is really great, every household should have one of these. All you do is boil the water in the bottom pan, choose which veggies you're gonna steam, I choose broccoli, carrots and spinach all in there at once and I don't have to chop off the ends of the spinach, everything fits! Comes out GREAT!!! All you do when you're done steaming is get a dish you're gonna put your stuff in and just dump your stuff in that dish, voila! That little one! UG! I used to burn myself, could not get it out of the pan, hot water would be splashing my legs! LOL! This is wonderful, so glad I got it! When I'm done steaming, I dump out the hot water and add cool water and after around 30 minutes I wash everything. I don't let the flame go over the sides of the pan, I don't believe this is good for any pan but this cleans up nice. I love it!

This is the first specific steamer I have ever purchased. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. This one is not huge, but larger than I expected. It was easy to use. Unfortunately, I dropped the lid and the handle knob broke into several pieces. I was able to glue it back together and this was obviously my own fault, but I was disappointed that the plastic handle was so fragile. It is easy to drop a very hot lid, I think everyone has done it - my other cookware knobs seem to be a little more durable. However, the lid itself did not break or crack. If I was not able to glue the knob, I'm not sure if I would have been able to continue to use the lid. So - if you don't plan to drop the lid - this is a near perfect steamer! :-)

I bought the Mockins steamer to replace the Rachel Ray steamer I bought at Bed bath and Beyond. I had to throw the Rachel Ray pot away after I accidentally allowed the water to boil down to nothing and the cheap Teflon coating peeled up sending toxic fumes throughout the house! I was misled in Rachel Ray's product description which claims it has an enamel coating... I assumed this meant the inside was ceramic enamel but it is actually referring to the enamel color on the outside of the pot. After doing a LOT of research this time I decided on the Mockins steamer. The stainless coating is high quality so food doesn't stick. Handles and lid are well made. Good price. We went back to Amazon to order a Mockins steamer for my stepmother as well but it is no longer available as the single 3 piece set (I searched other sites too, can't find it available anywhere) It is, however, available at Amazon as part of a whole pots and pans set - which I'm considering because the quality is just that good. Makes cooking more fun and clean up easier. Maybe I'll buy the whole set for myself and simply give the extra steamer to my stepmother hehe :)

I am very happy that i chose this steamer because its works great, very easy to clean and good quality. For me quality is very important because i steam food for my baby so i want to make healthy food and when i was checking for a steamer i saw some plastic automatic steamer and the idea was good but my worry was i don't know what quality of plastic is that and plastic is made by chemicals that's what i think and how long the quality will be good so i chose not to buy plastc one but about still i believe that it will last very long if you maintain right way and specific this one you will love it for sure. The price is really good for the quality. 😀 the one more important part i liked about this the service is so good i got my product very next day in the morning which surprised me i didn't have to wait at all and pacaging was good i think every saler should have this amazing service that customer can get the benefit and feel happy. I don't think i have anything to say negetive but good. Thank you so much for this amazing product.

mockins 3 Piece Premium Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Steamer Pot Set Includes 3 Quart ok fans, this is my side of comedy central. I admit, I CAN'T COOK. Long live McDonalds, eh. I have picked up some very SIMPLE recipes that I can make but for the most part, when I grill chicken, I have to call and warn the fire department. One of my recepes involved the ingredients and a can of cream of something or other soup added for the spices, throw in the oven for an hour and Woola, Dinner is served, just like grandma used to make, only easier. I tried to reinvent, (mad scientist review) how I cooked it when I became the owner of a slow cooker. Worked well but had some extra crispy issues with anything on the bottom of the cooker. I had recently tried to cook in a pan on the stove, low flame as a slow cooker but had the same issue. The; mount of liquid made no difference. This had me looking for a screen unit to raise the food from the bottom of the pan. I found this 3 piece stainless steam cooker. From what I saw it was perfect. The reviews were not exactly along the lines of what I needed but they were close enough. I bought one. Comes packaged well, in manufacturer packaging. Ran through the dishwasher and got ready for the great scientific experiment. Can food be cooked stove top without burning. My assistants were Kristi and Ruby, who are my dogs that watch every move I make and If some of the food tries to escape, it is quickly snapped up by the girls. I filled the pot with the ingredients, added the cream of something or other, put 2 cups of water in the bottom, put on low heat and watched. The room filled with the aroma of food cooking, steam was slowly escaping through the top lid. I even turned down the heat source to control the steam a bit. The moment of truth was when Doctor food, Hee hee heee, opened the lid and saw what was a beautifully cooked meal. the potatoes were perfect, nothing was burned, the meat was fully cooked and tasty. This pan passed the torture test with flying colors. It cleaned up very easily, the dishwasher did the rest and we were ready for our next scientific experimental extravaganza. The plastic handles don't seem to get hot, are big enough to feel comfortable when you grab them. I had no problems at all using this cook wear. I would recommend absolutely. I’ve had these for around a month now and have finally used all of them (and cleaned all of them) a handful of times. To those having issues with burning and cleaning: you’re just doing it wrong. I’ve yet to have anything stick so bad a green scrubber, hot water, and elbow grease haven’t been able to clean up. The one time I had something stick badly, it was because i got the pan too hot. These pots and pans aren’t meant to stay shiny and perfect forever. They will dull some with use and proper cleaning, and pick up some character along the way. You will eventually clean off the gradients inside the pots and the brand name off the bottom. That just means you’re cleaning it well enough. Just because they are dishwasher safe does not mean they should be washed in the dishwasher. Hand wash and DRY immediately for best results. Most of the negative reviews I’ve seen seem to be a result of user error. This is a great quality, low priced set that if taken care of properly should last a very long time. My pictures of the small frying pan clean are from after cooking the scrambled eggs. All I used was a soapy sponge and hot water, then dried immediately. When things get stuck or discolored, I hit them with the green scrubber, which does scratch the mirror finish, but like I said earlier, they aren’t meant to stay shiny forever if you’re doing it right.

I can use it to steam potatoes, sweet potatoes or other vegs. Without the second layer, I can just use it to make soup. It serves multiple purposes. Right size. Perfect. Worth my money.

These pots work as advertised. Stainless steel is stainless steel. If people that are having problems with these buy more expensive stainless steel cookware I believe they will have the same result. Use proper technique and you will have no problem. My only complaint is the 4.2 qt. sauce pan doesn't have a lid. Luckily I found a lid that fits from an old canning pot. Great price and no more forever chemicals flaking off.
