It doesn't tarnish. Wiping it with a soft cloth takes fingerprints off easily. And it works great with essential oils!

Very satisfied, I was disappointed at first because I had ordered it and it came without the felt pads advertised, but after returning it I repurchased it and the locket came with 12 felt pads and I was very happy with that.
