Fortunately, this Craftsman 10mm hex bit socket showed up before I lost my sanity—or another weekend to the search. This is a must-have for anyone working on modern vehicles, where 10mm fasteners seem to be legally required on every single component. The socket itself feels well-made, with a snug, precise fit that doesn’t round out bolt heads or wiggle in place. The hex bit is cleanly machined and sits solid in the fastener, offering good engagement and confidence when applying torque. The 3/8" drive pairs well with any standard ratchet or torque wrench, and after multiple uses, it shows no wear, twisting, or cracking. While it’s not a high-end tool truck brand, it doesn’t need to be—it does its job, and it does it well. Good quality, slightly less cost than local stores.

I purchased this to be able to remove the transmission drain plug on a 2010 Nissan Murano and it worked perfectly. As a side note, this was the first time the transmission fluid had been changed on the car and the plug was so tight that I wasn't able to break it free with a standard length breaker bar. In the end, I ended up using a 1/2" drive impact wrench and the socket was able to withstand the abuse and break the drain plug free. I hope my review was helpful!

Quality tool

Needed to do a differential oil change and my mechanic set was missing this size. This worked out perfectly fit great and got the screw right out no problems. Great grip and length to help with an undercarriage screw.

I needed a 10mm hex socket to remove the brake caliper pins on my vehicle. I didn't want to buy a whole set so this individual socket was the answer for me. I bought this one because i am familiar with the Craftsman brand. The quality is decent, and the price was very reasonable. I have already used this tool and it worked great. I am very satisfied with this purchase. Thank you.

It is a replacement. The work good until the set screw won’t move. Then they break. I never did get that one out.
