Balega Hidden Comfort Performance No Show Athletic Running Socks for Men and Women

These socks are really comfortable and work well when I want a low-profile sock that doesn’t show much with my shoes. I like the fit and the added cushioning, which makes them especially nice for everyday wear. The material feels soft and comfortable, and the design provides coverage without coming up high on the ankle. They’re a great option for sneakers when you want comfort without a visible sock My favorite sock.

More comfortable and thicker than most sneaker/running shoe socks. I live in my Brooks Adrenaline for the support, but they're a tad big. The Balegas make a comfortable fit, and they're not too hot. Also, they last.

I have a number of pairs of Balega socks which I've worn for running, and the Soft Tread is my favorite overall. Here's a few comparative thoughts. I've bought five different types of Balega socks in total: Balega Soft Tread No Show ( Balega Soft Tread No Show - Royal BAL8926 ) Balega Ultralight No Show ( Balega Ultralight No Show Socks - Royal Blue/White - Small ) Balega Hidden Contour ( Balega Hidden Contour Socks, Black/Yellow, Large ) Balega Hidden Comfort -- THIS PRODUCT Balega Blister Resist No Show ( Balega Blister Resist No Show Socks, White, Large ) The Balega Ultralight are very thin and rather smaller--especially in comparison to the other models. I've bought size Large in every sock, and they vary quite a bit. (For reference, I normally wear a men's 10, though I wear 11s for running.) If you like thin small socks, you may like the ultralight. Or go a size big if you want them to fit more comfortably. On the other hand, the Blister Resist were way too thick and large. They had so much excess material that they felt horrible and my feet moved around in them. They are very hot. The material on the top of the foot is actually very thin, but the bottom makes up for it. That said, They make a comfortable sock to walk around in on my wood floors in the winter. Since I won't run in them, I give them use around the house. The Hidden Contour and Hidden Comfort are similar. The Hidden Comfort are a tad thicker. They are both a bit thicker and larger than the Soft Tread socks, but they are comfortable and nicer for winter weather, when I tend to wear them running. If I were buying more, I'd go for the Hidden Comfort. Mine have stayed superbly comfortable longer than the Hidden Contour and still feel more padded. I like the Soft Tread best (for running) because they are thick enough to be padded and comfortable, but I have to pull them snug on my feet so there is no room for my feet to move against the sock. Also, they are not so thick that I feel my feet get hot -- and I run in 100 degree Texas summer weather. Finally, the Soft Tread are made R and L foot specific, which I've found to be helpful for fit. The Ultralights are as well, but not the other three models, if I recall correctly. Though the Hidden Comfort came with an L on each sock, that stands for "Large", not "Left". Also, the heel tabs on a lot of these sock models, including this one, are great and do a lot to make sure the sock stays in place. Hopefully this review helps a few folks decide what Balega sock might be best for them if they're looking to purchase. If you have questions, comment and I'll try to answer them.

I am absolutely blown away by these socks. I have very specific (and difficult) criteria for running gear: I struggle with extremely wet feet during runs, I can’t stand the itch of wool, and I have a sensitivity to elastane/spandex that usually causes my skin to break out if the compression is too high. The Pros Skin-Safe Fabric: Most performance socks are loaded with elastic fibers, but these only have 2% elastane. For someone like me who gets skin irritation from high-elastane compression gear, these are a total lifesaver. No breakouts, just comfort. Superior Moisture Management: My feet usually feel soaked halfway through a run, but the "Drynamix" fabric in these keeps them remarkably dry without that "squishy" feeling. Cushion Without the Squeeze: The "Hidden Comfort" name is no joke. They feel plush and padded like a cloud, but they don't have that tight, suffocating grip that traditional compression socks have. Perfect Fit: The heel tab is the ideal height—it protects my Achilles from shoe friction but never slides down into the shoe, but when I run in my hokas I still use a bit of kinsi tape to keep my heel from rubbing, in my brooks I don't find it necessary. The Cons Price Point: They are sold as a single pair, so they are an investment. However, given that they solved my skin and moisture issues simultaneously, they are worth every cent. Sizing: Be sure to check the Balega chart; since they aren't high-compression, getting the "Small" right is key to preventing any movement. For example I wear a womens wide 8 shoe and the small size fits me perfectly. Final Verdict: If you are a runner who needs to avoid wool or high-elastane materials but still wants a high-performance, dry-wicking sock, these are the ones. I’m already planning to replace my entire sock drawer with these.

Love these socks! Finally a pair that stays above the shoe. Very comfortable and cushion your foot. They are the only socks I buy to wear with sneakers when I walk and/or go to the gym. They were recommended to me by my neighbor, and now I recommend them to all my friends. I have bought them many times in different colors. They might seem a little pricey, but they are worth it!

Product is good quality, however, I purchased multiple 3 packs and realized after I received them that they looked different and were an older production year - not the same overall composition as the newer Balega socks I already had. This was not disclosed by the seller. The socks I received were from production year 2023 and the composition has more polyester than the 2024 production year socks I already own. They were discounted, so I guess should have known it was too good to be true. Still a little disappointing.

As a runner and a nurse, I’m really picky about good quality athletic socks. My husband and I have bought so many valets socks after discovering this brand originally at REI. These are amazing and the colors are fun too! Love the padding for running and when I’m on my feet all day long. They are even great as cowboy boot socks

When I put these on feet my comfort level rocks to a 5/5, no even better, a 10/10. These have become my go to and I put yards and yards on them going to and from my couch and fridge all day long. Actually, I’ve probably done atleast a thousand miles with these socks and they’re my favorite by far, the added padding in the back is the best part

I frequently had blisters when using "normal" socks during medium-long distance jogging. Since I started using these socks with different fabric and design, I havent had any blisters so far, and they feel snug and comfortable!
