Hario V60 Glass Range Coffee Server, 600ml, Clear

I've nothing ill to say about the design and construction of this vessel. It is well made with a nice design, and an excellent mechanism for easily inserting and removing the lid. I originally purchased this server for use at the office. I'm kind of a coffee purist - I roast my own coffee and don't grind the beans until I'm ready to brew a cup of coffee using a portable, manual coffee grinder. I use a pour-over device with paper filters that must sit on the rim of cup or other vessel you're using. My daily use cup is just too wide at the rim and the pour-over cone was too precariously balanced, and actually fell over a time or two. Yeah. Mess. This server totally suited my needs. The mouth is the ideal size and shape for the pour-over cone, and the vessel itself has all the capacity I needed for my 16-ounce cups of coffee. It will comfortably hold 2.5 cups of liquid (20 fluid ounces, or 600 ml). I especially appreciated the lid design; the silicone rim snugly holds the lid to the server mouth, and it controls the pour very nicely, preventing most accidental spills. But it is glass, and uninsulated, so hot liquids will immediately begin to cool, or cold liquids will immediately begin to warm. So ideally it's meant for whatever you put into it to be served immediately. It's been ideal for my use - brewing single oversized cups of coffee.

This is a great little pour over coffee carafe. It's glass. Which is better for making good coffee. We bought two so we have a back-up just in case!

I've always been a fan of Hario's glass pots as they're nicely designed and really easy to use. Only problem I have with them is that they can be extremely fragile. I don't expect this product to last if I accidentally bang them on something. One drawback I found from this design is it could be hard to reach the bottom of the pot when washing them out.

This Hario glass server pairs beautifully with my Hario ceramic filter holder. Using them together has turned into a little daily ritual—the four minutes I spend slowly pouring and brewing are calming and give me space to escape from the events happening around us every day. The glass is clear and elegant, easy to clean, and just the right size for my morning pour-over. It’s not just about making coffee—it’s about enjoying the process.

Durable pot for all your coffee & tea needs

Recently upgraded from 02 Hario server with a black plastic handle to this server and oh wow! This server is so cute! It is difficult to capture the real shape with a phone lens, but it appears very small, but still holds enough coffee for 2. I really like the lid, when properly on, it sits very securely. Bonus - it fits V60 dripper - great for cooling down if you want to trash the filter later. If you are deciding between this and Hario server with a black handle - I would go for this one, because it is so much easier to clean. I experienced dirt getting trapped under the black handle and I could see it from the glass side. I mean it is still on the outside, but I would feel ashamed to serve a gourmet cup of coffee to a guest from it fearing they might notice. It was impossible to clean, I tried to clean it in a dishwasher and it all got worse. Handle is impossible to remove, it only moves a little bit, but not enough to be fully cleaned.

This coffee server/flask is unique for its simplicity and minimalism, while still being very attractive. It is easy to clean, and the glass material of which it is made is clear and strong. My impression of it, is that it will last for a long time. It is a perfect match to the Hario V60 dripper.

Well-sized for one or two small coffees. I like that it doesn't take up much counter space. I use it to make 250-300ml 01 V60s and store small batches of cold brew. It suites me perfectly for solo sipping or sharing a few small cups, but it might be too small for multiple large mugs. Pics show it with 250ml of coffee, a 10oz mug, 6oz mug, and 5oz cup.

In the last 2-3 years, I have noticed that the Hario servers are quite easily chipped or cracked, which is something that I do not associate the brand with, at least not to 10+ years ago. I am not sure if the quality of the glass has gone downhill but I had multiple servers that cracked extremely easy, although I am always careful. I will continue to buy their products, but possibly switching to a different server.

Good quality

I bought this larger size to replace my previous smaller size. Both lovely. This is probably unnecessarily large. I now tend to pour through more hot water - which maybe slightly defeats the health advantage of the drip method? I haven’t researched. But I enjoy long black so I’m happy
