My mother has edema and after two surgeries it was worse. These shoes were the only ones that worked after trying on and returning several other brands and styles. I love that you can customize the innersole so you can get the perfect fit for each foot. One of her feet is more swollen than the other and this is the only shoe I could find there you customize it so much that it almost is like having two different size shoes if you need that. Now she is using her walker and has a good shoe with some support. No shoehorn needed which was also appreciated. I wish there were more styles!! A Mary Jane style would be appreciated.

Not as comfortable as I thought

I purchased these shoes for my 80 year old mother who has leukemia. Due to the medications she takes to keep leukemia at bay, the medication causes swelling of her feet and lower legs from retained fluids. She went for over a year not able to find shoes that she could wear other than opened toed sandals. I found these shoes and order her a pair. She is extremely happy with their fit and comfort. With the 3 pairs of included insoles we were able to adjust the comfort level of the shoes to match her needs, without the need to buy anything additional. When with the closure flap full open the inside of the shoe is open all the way to the back of the toes making it easy for her to insert her feet. The tongue is then closed with a internal velcro to keep the tongue in place. Then closing the top flap down over the top of the foot it can be adjusted to fit her foot perfectly. The heavy velcro closure keeps the shoes firmly on her feet. The bottom tread of the shoes also give her positive traction on most any surface. And finally the shoes are light on her feet and would tire her less than a heavier shoe. They have increased her mobility and keep her feet warm even in winter cold.

My grandmother as a bit of an issue with the swelling of her feet at various times, so she really needed a very comfy pair of shoes that she can easily slip on and have some "adjustment" options if needed. These fit great, and she loves how much cushion they have compared to a few others we tried for her.

I was looking for shoes that are easily adjustable since my feet swell and reduce depending on how much I stand or sit during the day. These are very comfortable with three different inserts for adjustments. It took a bit of time to get used to the slightly wider width but I wear socks so that was a big help. For the comfort and adjustability, the price was very good and they look very casual, not like medical shoes.

These were a gift and very appreciated. She likes how comfortable they are plus they are easy for her to put on and take off even though she has severe arthritis in her hands.

My mom wears a size 8 regular shoe but her feet swell and she needed the width for comfort. The width was ok but were too long. Also the Velcro didn't stick very well.
