Monstrum Sling Mount with Quick Detach Swivel

This thing is currently holding an 8 pound pellet rifle with ease. I have it attached to my black bunker bm8 and have a VTAC sling threaded through it. It holds all the weight, doesn’t bend or slip. Attached to my pic rail perfectly, no wobble or play. Was easy to install. No machining burs or oil right out of the packaging. Weighs almost nothing which is also good. Solid metal construction gives me confidence that it will last a long time.

Fit well and seems to be good quality material. Time will tell, but it seems like it will hold up to the abuse.

This is as handy as a pocket on a shirt. Solid as a rock. When attached with a Jialitte QD Adapter stud it works perfectly on my 50 caliber carbine. Now I have 2 point carry as well as single point which does not work well for me. Carried my carbine through the roughest mangroves and brush yesterday and the scope with dead on. If you own a Hammer 50 carbine, you gotta have this little jewel. I know that Umarex does not advise this method of carry BUT when you lug this baby around all day in the heat without a sling you will thank me for this little tip. The way this is built it fits snugly under my scope (cutting the brush grabbing) and is close to the rail bolt thereby lowering the torque placed on the rail. Try it, I guarantee you will thank me.

This is pure junk. The QD socket will not accept a standard QD swivel stud -- including the one it came with. In addition, the QD swivel stud that came with it was rusted. I expected this based on other reviews, and bought it only for the QD socket -- but even that is non-functional in what I received. To make matters worse, when opening the box it came in, the box came apart -- so I can't return it. I should have gone with my gut and ordered something else...

It seems like many people are receiving this item with corrosion. It’s a pretty sturdy looking piece but I am unable to attach the sling because the button is rusted in place and the ball bearings won’t budge. I am soaking it in penetrating oil but if the cavity is full of gunk there’s not much else to do. Stay tuned. After soaking in liquid wrench for 24 hours before lightly tapping the release button with a small ball peen hammer I was able to get the button working. Once I got the button recessed I was able to depress the ball bearings with a pair of regular pliers. At that point I was able to rotate the bearings with a treated cleaning cloth with intermittent dipping in liquid wrench. Other than that it is a very solidly built piece that seems to be a very well built, and well made device. They REALLY need to figure out the root cause of their corrosion issue and until they do I would not recommend it to friends. If it weren’t for the rust and the time that had to be spent to make it serviceable I would have given a rating of 5 stars

The actual mount is solid. The QD swivel came rusted in the bag. Id only get this if you already have a swivel and just looking for the mount

I do not know if the wrong part was put in the box or wrong box picked at the warehouse, but I did not get what I paid for and wanted, the quality is good, but I wanted to mount it on the picatinny rail, I will keep it because of time and costs just don't warrant returning it. Only real annoyance is comparable M-lok mounts like this are aways from costing $45 (including tax) like the one I wanted.
