Dyson Airstrait™ dries and straightens simultaneously from wet to dry. Engineered to create a natural straight finish for multiple hair types. No hot plates. No heat damage.¹ Your routine, simplified. ¹When used in wet to dry mode. ²When used in wet to dry mode vs. hot plate straighteners which operate with extreme heat. ³When used in wet to dry mode vs. unstyled, untreated hair. Review: A total game changer for my wife's morning routine! - I got this for my wife to help with her hair for work, and it’s incredible. The fact that it goes from wet to dry with no hot plates means her hair stays healthy and doesn't get that "burnt" smell you get with traditional straighteners. It’s very fast and gives her a professional, sleek look in a fraction of the time it used to take with a blow dryer and a flat iron. It’s expensive, but when you consider the time saved and the lack of heat damage, it’s worth every penny. Review: Expensive but worth two in one hair tool - This is literally the greatest hair tool ever invented! I have very thick long course hair. It tends to frizz in any humidity. I would spend hours drying then straightening my hair only to have it frizz 10 minutes later. It also was very damaging to my hair to use all that direct heat. This tool straightens and drives at the same time! How amazing is that. And, it really works. It has saved me a ton of time and also is so much healthier for my hair. There is a learning curve when you first get it and it takes a little practice, but, once you get the hang of it, you will be so happy that you spent the money on this.

Total Game Changer - Salon Results in 1/2 the Time
This product is a game-changer for my fine, thin hair. I have long hair, prone to humidity and breakage, and it will not hold curls from curling irons. Regular straighteners tend to make it damaged from heat and stringy, and then greasy the next day. First blowing it truly, then straightening it, or doing a full blowout with the BondiBoost hair dryer brush for best results. The Dyson Air Straight is lighter than the BondiBoost Brush Blowdryer, leaves my hair shiny and soft, with a natural salon finish. I can dry and straighten my hair all at once, maintaining volume, no heat damage, and it accomplishes a great style within 30 minutes. That said, there is a learning curve. I find the machine is heavy (I have Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis), but lighter than most tools out there. It is bulky, and straightening from wet to dry is sometimes awkward getting my arm in the right position for the downward flow of the the air on the back of my hair, as well as switching from/to dominant arm's side. I like the fact that though bulky, the Air Straight has a wide coverage, so you can fit more of your weft into the tool, saving time. It was intimidating at first with all the instructions, but I quickly got used to the cool shot first at roots, then wet to dry, then cool shot to set the style. My only complaint aside from the weight and wieldability, is that it is difficult to get the roots. That may be on purpose in the design. I am glad I bought this instead of the Dyson hair dryer, and when it restocks, I plan to get the newest version of the Curling tool, which is lighter weight than the Air Wrap, and has a dryer attachment, as well as a round brush attachment. If you want salon results, and straighten your hair often, buy the Air Straight. You won't regret it, even at the high price. Don't buy the Dyson styling products, however. They are not worth the price, and I got better results with regular products.

Amazing Product
Best hair straightener that there is: protects hair, dries quickly, and styles. Amazing product and love the color, seems strong and is not loud or super hot. It is expensive but worth your money.

Recommended, especially with Dyson’s return/exchange policy
This is my second Dyson Airstrait, and overall I really like how thoughtfully designed it is. Pros: • Smart auto shut-off when not in use and turns back on when you pick it up. • Self-cleaning feature is a big plus and keeps maintenance minimal. • Comes with a heat-resistant mat, which is very convenient for bathroom counters. • Straightens while drying, saving time and reducing heat exposure. • Feels premium and well-balanced in hand. Cons: • My first unit stopped working after the first use. After some research, I found this can be related to a fuse issue and seems to be a known problem for some users. • I reordered the same model, and the replacement works perfectly so far with no issues. I'm giving it a 4 because the first one doesn't work.

Game changing hair tool for cowlicks!
I was hesitant to buy this because it is expensive. However, I do not regret it at all. It has been a game changer for my hair! I have many cowlicks at the front and are also baby hairs. They have always been difficult to style. This tool has helped so much. It smooths out the cowlicks and the style stays all day. When I first got it I thought I had to write to Dyson because I couldn't see any plates on the straightener. After watching more tutorials I learned that there are no true plates. The flat parts of the straightener do not get hot themselves. The tool smooths and directs hot hair down the shaft of the hair (very important you use the correct direction with air moving down and not up). I've gotten so many compliments on my hair since I've started using this. Definitely worth the price!

AMAZING
TL:DR - my wavy/curly hair typically takes 45 min - 1 hour to straighten. I used the air straight and it took 17 and a half minutes to go from wet hair to dry and straight. It also worked on dry waves/curls to dry straight. Easy to use. Highly recommend. I honestly was a little skeptical about this when I first decided to try it. I have wavy/curly hair and it takes FOREVER to straighten it. Blow drying takes a long time for me, and I honestly lack the brush/hand/eye coordination to do a great job. So basically I have to dry my hair and then go over it with a flat iron. I have tried multiple tools that are blow dry brushes to try to get my hair from wet to dry/straight and most of them do nothing but create frizz. Even after finding one that semi-worked, I still had to spend time going over my hair with a flat iron to get it straight and not frizzy. This whole process would typically take me a minimum of 45 min, but usually closer to an hour. I had read reviews about the Dyson air straight greatly reducing that time and it being super easy to use. I decided to try it and assumed that even if it did get my hair close to straight, I would still need to go over it with a flat iron. I was hoping this would just drastically cut down the overall time it took. The first time I tried it my hair was dry and curly. I had some free time and decided to see how the air straight would do in this capacity. I figured, since it was using air, it wouldn’t be the best at going from dry-curly to dry- straight. I was wrong. Within what seemed to be about 15 minutes my hair was straight!! I even quickly “set” it with the cool air setting. I was honestly astonished at how well this machine worked!! Then it was time for the real test. Would it be able to take my wet, out the shower hair, and straighten it quickly? I wasn’t sure. I watched the video in the Dyson app when I first opened it (I think it’s about 2 min long, nothing crazy) which explained how to use the tool to dry the roots before you start straightening. I decided to use the stopwatch function on my phone to see how long it actually took me to do my hair. I hit start on the timer and started straightening with the air straight. Most sections of my hair were dry and straight with ONE pass of the machine. This was honestly amazing because using a flat iron typically takes several. Some areas needed two passes, but this was still so much better and quicker than anything else I’ve used. Plus it was my first time doing it so I’m sure there is a learning curve. When my hair looked done I went over it with the cool setting to “set” the style and hit stop on my phone. It took me 17 min and 29 seconds to go from wet waves/curls to dry straight hair. I am honestly amazed and will never be able to straighten my hair any other way.

Great Tool for Styling
I have naturally wavy hair and my texture is pretty coarse so it takes a couple of passes & high heat for my hair to get the way I want it. With the airstrait, I love that I can use it as a hair dryer with a round brush and to straighten my hair. I don't want my hair to lay flat so I'll go in with a rollers to give it some bounce. My hair is down to my lower back and it takes about 30 minutes to rough dry and smooth out.

Seriously, I'm obsessed with this dryer!
Seriously, I'm obsessed with this dryer! My hair is super long and curly, and I always blow-dry it after washing to get rid of frizz and make it smooth. I've been doing this for ages, like over two decades! The first time I used this dryer, I was hooked. It didn't just slash my drying time from about half an hour with my old one to just 15 minutes, but my hair also looked incredibly shiny and totally frizz-free! Plus, it's way quieter than my old dryer and feels about 40% lighter. I even took it with me on my trip to Europe, and it packed up really small. The smart heat settings are a game-changer; my hair has never looked or felt better! Big thanks to Dyson!

Game changer
as a curly girl who straightened my hair for 20 years and started wearing it curly again in 2020 to give my hair a break. Lately I've wanted to straighten it more and it was such a pain as my hair is longer. My hair is frizzy/dry and porous -- when I blow dry my hair it is crazy so takes more time to straighten. Using the Dyson air straight basically gives me a really good blow out like I would get at the hair dressers and then I just need to touch it up a little with my straightener, I've noticed my hair feels softer and I need to do WAY less touch ups. Also it's super fast! Go for it!
