Hozelock Mini Auto Reel Hose Pipe

Hozelock Pro 20M Auto Reel Before I moved to Norfolk I owned one of these for 15 years at my previous address and was very happy with it. When I left it was still going strong and had withstood all those years of sun and cold with only a little colour fading and no sign of the plastic going brittle. Nothing went wrong except for the nozzle, which started leaking after a few years, but I don't treat any of my nozzles well and have to replace them now and again regardless of the hose system. I like how easily the hose automatically winds itself back after a quick tug. It has many fixed stopping points, both in and out which are easily bypassed if you want This new one is almost identical to the original one, and I cannot see any reduction in the quality of the materials used. It was easy to fit with basic DIY skills and tools. I need to put a hose in the front garden as well and will definitely be buying the same model again.

I have had this 30M reel for 8 years and it is fantastic. I have had a 20M one for 25 years! It was even better. They work superbly well. The 20 meter reels in with great power. The 30M one needs a bit of coxing because the weight of hose and water is so great. Note that if you turn the tap off & let it empty as it returns, it will reel in faster, particularly with a longer hose. About every 5 to 8 years I would have water dribbling out of the reel & needed to take the cover off and adjust the connection inside which is very doable. I put a jubilee clip on the connector which solved the problem. If the internal ratchet goes it can't be repaired but mine did 25 years before failing. What more can I ask? They are superb value if you count the cost of a quality hose. The orange has become faded over 25 years but not failed despite some really extreme hot and freezing weather over all those years. They are heavy. Make sure you get a good fixing into the wall. I am buying a replacement for the old one. Tick if this was useful.

Genuine purchase. It's a big design but very sturdy. Once on the wall you get used to it and it stores the hose very neatly. Very easy to use just pull the hose out. It locks in the out position. To rewind just pull the hose and it does it all for you. It lays the hose neatly on the drum.

Generally speaking, I'm really happy with my purchase. The hose is easy to assemble and the auto-reel function is a welcome change to having to manage the hose while cranking it onto a spool. However I've several criticisms of the product: 1. The instructions don't specify the size of the screws or the size of pozi screwdriver required 2. The screws were of very poor quality and it's easy to chew up the pozi fitting, particularly with the amount of force required to drive the screws into the wall I recommend buying some better quality M5 x 50mm long screws from ScrewFix. Make sure you have a standard fixed pozi screwdriver, as the force required to screw them into the wall, may cause issues if you're using an unstable ratcheting driver.

The included 20-metre hosepipe is thick, durable, and highly kink-resistant. The only minor drawback lies within the automatic spring mechanism over time. While it retains plenty of power to pull the hose back when fully extended, the internal spring tension noticeably drops when you are only pulling out a short length of hose. If you only use it a few metres away from the wall bracket, you may find you need to give the line a gentle manual assist to get it to feed back into the reel casing. However, considering the top-tier material build quality of the hose itself and the rugged case shell, it remains an excellent choice for defence against garden clutter.

A first class product, delivered on time and quickly installed. It swings to left or right to minimise sticking out from the wall. Rewind feature is great and the hose fittings are supplied. Bought at a good price . I would recommend it.

Easy to install... very neat in appearance... saves all of the effort in dragging hoses out and putting them away. You should be aware that it is best to pull out all of the hose to the furthest point that you want to water first and work back to reel... one pull close to the reel to rewind, letting the hose feed back through your hand ensures a complete and effective recovery. Great product, should have bought one years ago.

Excellent hose reel, I’ve now got two. The first one I’ve had in my back garden for 10years it has never failed. I’ve bought another for the front of the house I’ve mounted it in the garage. Not once have I had any trouble with this hose reel. Brilliant but pricy,

I am 70 and have owned many hose reels. This is the best. Light weight and so easy. I brought another one for my front yard.

Besteeling + Levering was prima. Maar deze Hozelock lekte al bij eerste gebruik, kon niet geopend worden om het beter aan te sluiten, meteen weer teruggestuurd.

Great hose reel and hose with quality second to none! The clever and nifty features such as removable fitting in the reel, lead hose cover, lockable features on the mount and main reel add value and convenience. The retractable and lock mechanism feels solid and works well. It also comes with excellent instructions and wall mounting kit - just 4 plugs and screws and you're good to go. I have used other reels before but the quality doesn't compare. I couldn't recommend this product any more.

Muy bueno. Ya he comprado varios y es súper práctico, queda muy bien. Buena calidad y viene con todo lo necesario para usarlo de inmediato. Muy fácil instalación.

Nach dem Auspacken schon, war der erste Eindruck ganz gut. Kurz die Anleitung überflogen, die mitgelieferte Bohrschablone an die Wand gepackt und gebohrt. Löcher passen tatsächlich :) , Dübel rein (ich hab nicht das mitgelieferte Dübel- und Schraubenzeugs genommen - sah mir etwas zu filigran aus) und die Wandhalterung angeschraubt. Die verarbeiteten Materialien und der Schlauch und einfach alles - wirkt sehr hochwertig, nicht zu spröde, nicht zu weich, super Schlauch, super Düse, genug mitgeliefertes Zubehör damit man gleich anschließen kann, super Aufrollmechanismus natürlich mit Schlauch-Stop und Stopp-Muffe wenn grad keine Düse dran ist. Alles in Allem echt super, bin begeistert und vom Gefühl her ist das Teil viel wertiger als so manch deutsch, deutsch/schwedische Hersteller mit dem organgen Logo (so einer war vorher montiert und hat leider nur 2 Jahre gehalten) Ich werd jetzt sicher öfter nach Produkten von Hozelock Ausschau halten Klare Kaufempfehlung !!!
