This boom box is small but mighty. I got this for my mom to listen to her favorite CDs. But tis the season and the radio is playing Christmas music so we got to explore the AM/FM. Super totable for moving room to room or out for activities. Mom loves the remote and at her gentle age, less confusing than pushing buttons. Clear sound for both CD and radio. It has a cool light for easy reading of the display. A great player that gives you bang for your buck.

Works well. Very easy to use. Enjoy listening to it. Use it often. Easy to move around.

actually amazing but kinda breaks and the sound quality is kinda bad and it glitches out but it looks pretty

Well I am covered in beads of sweat and POed to the max after trying to get the C batteries in place. That's right. It took forever. Why? The spring slip around as you are trying to center the battery and compress the spring flat. I shoved that battery as far as I could so that it would stay put but it kept flying out of it's compartment and straight UP into the air. After several attempts I'd get ONE in and as I'd be working on the next battery the fist one would decide to pop up on me. I was outside and my next door neighbor heard me cussing and she offered to help me. Young and fit jogger had to same issues so now we are BOTH cussing like sailors. I told her "I can't WAIT to write a review on this thing!" and here I am. NOTHING should be this hard to do. I bought a magnavox portable CD player identical to this one at least 10 years ago and I remember that the batteries just went in super smooth and easy. I still have the original one to compare. It works I just needed a second one for a vacation home. I examined the battery area on the older one and the plastic components on it are FAR superior as they are thicker MUCH harder plastic and the springs are softer and compress like a dream. NOT LIKE THIS NEW ONE I was cussing as sweat poured off of me. I'll do a another review of this after I've played the radio and the CD player because right now I just need to pour me a glass of wine, hit the recliner and decompress. I'm giving it one lousy star just for WEARING ME OUT!

I wanted inexpensive CD player because when I got a couple of new CDs, I realized that my old CD player had broken and I did not have a CD player anymore! So far I am pleased with this unit and it has a surprisingly good sound for being small. I also like that you can use an AC plug or you can fill it with C batteries for a DC current. Not complicated to operate. One thing to consider is that it has no headphones included. Those are available separately I believe.

I purchased this to play a child’s cd (one particular song on repeat) overnight while sleeping. The CD player works, however, the sound it makes as the cd spins is a little loud for my liking (although, again, I am playing a cd on low volume— because it’s nighttime). Maybe at a normal daytime volume (or loud volume) it won’t be so bothersome to others. Additionally, there’s a point where there’s an abrupt jump in volume level when you’re trying to adjust to the “perfect” low setting for night. No matter how slowly I turn it, 98% of the time the volume level goes from a whisper (which is kind of creepy) to a burst of volume (too loud for bedtime). And this happens no matter what cd I put in it (we change between a few cds). The player itself is lightweight, portable, and has a repeat button (song track, and full album option). I’m not sure about battery life, as I haven’t tried the battery use option (strictly manual plug in use only). Item had no odor upon arrival, nor during use. It also doesn’t seem to overheat (not even after all night use).

Great sound, good quality and easy to use. That was when we got it on August 11th. It has been used maybe 10 total hours since then - today is Sept. 30th. The CD player no longer works and the unit overheats. Magnavox wants me to pay to have a technician call me to discuss the problem and Amazon says it’s not refundable because it’s past the 30 days. The third party that is the seller says it’s Amazons problem now. No, it’s actually my problem now!!! Buyer beware on this item.
