Are these boots a wide fitting? I have very broad feet. Thanks in advance.

Yes they are a wide fit. I am a size 9 and I have put insoles in and wear thick socks. They are very comfortable although the upper leather is very thin not ideally suited for motorcycle use. I bought them for my motorcycle but the left boot has permanent ridges from the gear shift.

Try buying a Motorcycle paddock boot. Although the rubber on these is great but has worn quite quickly.

I want these in a size 4, why is this impossable?

Yep I get you I want a size 5 I’m a man. Yet every one thinks men have huge feet. I don’t have huge feet impossible for me to buy nice shoes.

I've never bought slip on boots before. Do I need heel grips or are they supposed to slip at the heel when you walk?

I don't think they are meant to slip at the heel. Have you bought the correct size? Mine don't slip when I walk. They fit like any boot or shoe and are really comfortable. Not sure if this will help.
