Q: Would this be ok for frogs to escape a small pond ?

Hi. The platform is good for one or two medium sized frogs to rest and sun-bathe on. However, the pond depth should not be more than 50 to 60cm, otherwise the platform cannot stand on the bottom.

Q: Will the floating platform take the weight of a large turtle without sinking?

No I had to place it on 4 bricks to support the weight

Q: is this good for a large terrapin

Well my turtle is now 2 years old and twice the size she was when I got this pier and it's still perfect for her but it's larger than it looks. It actually didn't fit in my old aquarium but now it really is perfect and she loves hiding underneath too

It mostly depends on the width of your tank. It is a HUGE platform. I have a 4ft tank, and it took up a good 1/3 of the tank. However it is suitable for any depth as it's a floating platform. As long as the depth of water isn't higher than the height of the legs you'll be fine.
