Works well. Previously posted about no sound but it does have sound. However, it only shows a sound device if the device can receive sound. Decent picture quality and used for meetings no problem.

I ordered this wireless HDMI extender to avoid running long HDMI cables, and it works better than expected. Setup was super easy—just plug in the transmitter and receiver, and it connected automatically. The picture quality is clear, and I didn’t notice any lag when using it with my laptop and TV. The signal stays stable across the room, even at a longer distance. It’s been very useful for meetings and home use. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

This wireless transmitter and receiver set comes boxed with decent instructions which helped me get it up and running in no time. Both the transmitter and receiver have HDMI and USB-A connectors. The USB connectors provide power - it's not always needed but I prefer to keep them connected nonetheless. It was really helpful that the transmitter and receiver came already paired. I connected the transmitter to my PS5 and the receiver to my TV in the room directly above and the menu screen came up as indicated in the instructions. I turned on my PS5 and it transmitted the signal to my TV. My happiness was short-lived as games proved to be unplayable due to lag. However, I had no issues just watching video content. I've always wanted something like this wireless HDMI set and now that I have it I'm finding it most useful to connect disc players up to my projectors. Though overall I am very happy with it, I wish it performed better when gaming but the signal has to go through a ceiling and floor so it's no surprise that it's not going to be as fast as it is via a cable.

I have a cable decoder box in my living room and an exercise bike in my bedroom immediately above it. I like to watch TV while I exercise and this set of wireless HDMI units allows me to watch cable TV upstairs. The transmitter and receiver are factory paired so there’s no setup required. They’re literally plug and play. You plug the transmitter into the HDMI source device and plug the other unit and it’s antenna into the display. Each unit needs to be powered via the supplied USB cables. There are also HDMI to mini HDMI and HDMI to micro HDMI adaptors. My set up is that the cable TV box in my living room feeds its signal into a two way HDMI splitter. One output from the splitter goes to the TV downstairs and the other goes to the transmitter. The receiver is attached to a TV in my bedroom immediately above my living room. The overall picture and sound quality is very good with no noticeable picture artifacts, stuttering or sound lag.

The system works well for the normal things, tv signal, PS4, PC and alike but does not work with sky. Which was the sole reason I bought it. They show it working a set top box but obviously not a sky one. I have since been contacted by the company and received an apology and a refund for the item even though I’d not returned it at the right time or written to them. A very honest company who stand by their product.

Easy to set up and easy to use. Worked really well for my situation.

I used this with 3 Window laptops, Acer Swift3, Dell Inspiron 14 and Lenovo Ideapad S940. I used this with a TV and a portable monitor. Just plug in the HDMI and the USB cables. I plugged the USB cable in the TV USB port. Other time I plugged into a power bank. It took about 5-10 seconds for the receiver to turn on. The first time the receiver powered up, it displayed a screen to ask for the language to use. Not too hard to select the language, but took a few try to select the language using the single button. The receiver displayed a default screen afterwards and subsequent restart. The default screen has information about the receiver, Miracast name, WiFi SSID, and a little bit of instructions. This was helpful. The package came with instructions, which was a small leaflet. The instruction had Window computer instructions as well as for Mac, iOS and Android. The instruction was good enough for me to follow, but there was not much to do if you use Window computer to connect. Basically just hit the Window key + K key. I already knew that so I did not really need to read the instruction, but it was in the instruction. When I connected from my Window laptop, it took a couple seconds, then it found the receiver and was able to connect in another couple of seconds. The video quality was good. I played YouTube video on it. no issue. There was no noticeable video lag for playing the music video I watched or some nature scenery videos. This receiver is NOT for gaming, so don't use it for gaming. Fast video was ok quality, acceptable for me, but not great. I had the display up and connected for a couple of hours, no issue. I did not notice any video skipping either. I also tested briefly with a iPad. There was extra setup to configure the receiver to connect to a WiFi network. It did not take long, just a few more step to do. Very happy with the product. The instruction has a section to pair with a transmitter. I ended up ordered the transmitter from the seller. Here is the https://a.co/d/1oop1Lb The pairing was easy. It took a few seconds to pair up. The HDMI transmitter can be powered just from the HDMI, that was a surprise to me. I plugged in the HDMI port on my Acer laptop without plugging in the USB cable. It worked. I also tested with plugging the USB cable to the transmitter. Both worked. Video quality was the same as with just the receiver. Except the fast video was better when using the transmitter. All my test was done with the laptop or the transmitter in the same room with the receiver. That meant it did not pass through any wall. For my purpose, this worked great with and without the transmitter. If you just get the receiver, make sure your laptop device or your phone/tablet support Miracast or Wireless Display. Not all Window laptop support it, especially older one. My Motorola cell phone did not support Miracast, so not worked.

Please note -- I purchased both the AIMIBO version of this product and the TIMBOOTECH version. They are EXACTLY THE SAME PRODUCT (as of November 2023), and they can even work together! I am actually using both simultaneously to type up this review. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Let me start by describing my situation. I have 2 computers - a work computer and a personal computer, that I use. For both devices, I am doing work that makes the fan run at max speed, and is extremely noisy. Because of this, working in the evening is simply not an option, because both computers just end up waking everyone up. With this product, that is no longer a problem. I can keep both of my computers in the basement, using them while I am on the 2nd floor of the house. As a fair warning though, since the signal is being obstructed, 2 floors is about the limit of what this device is capable of transmitting through with a good signal. Of course, with no obstructions, the distance is much further. The thing I love the most about this product is that it allows me to not only stream the computer screen, but I can plug in my keyboard and mouse and send inputs back down to the computer! Here is how the product works. There is a Receiver (known as RX) and a Transmitter (known as TX). The RX is what you plug into your monitor/tv/etc. RX receives the picture from the TX, which you plug into your computer/video-game-console/cable-box/etc. TX transmits the picture to the RX. It does a good job of receiving and transmitting. The picture is clear, and the response time is fast. However, it is not immediate -- there are 5-10 frames of delay. Because there is a small amount of delay, you can't easily play very fast paced games like shooters or action games. But anything that can afford to have 5-10 frames of delay should be just fine with this. Please keep that in mind if you intend for this product to be used for video games. There's also 2 different modes -- SW Mode (1 RX. 1-7 TX's) and SP Mode (1-7 RX's, 1 TX). SP Mode is the simple one -- you can transmit the picture from one device to multiple RX's. As other reviews have mentioned, this is great for security camera set ups, or a baby monitor, or a theater/classroom/church with multiple duplicated monitors/screens. SW Mode is a little more complex. For the rest of the review, I will be speaking about the capabilities of SW Mode. But I need to emphasize this --- what really sets this product apart from the competition is the special features added onto SW Mode. * In SW Mode, you can plug in your Keyboard and Mouse to your RX, and then it will control whatever is plugged into the TX! Again, there is a little delay (5-10 frames), so that is something to get used to. But that is a small cost. Remember, I am controlling my computer in the basement while I am on the 2nd floor of my house! I am typing this review now using this method! * In SW Mode, you can plug in your headphones to an aux dongle on the RX, and it will receive audio from the TX! Please note, I think this only works for headphones. I don't think this works for microphones or headsets. I have tried, and I feel like it should be possible, but no success thus far. * In SW Mode, you can plug in an IR Receiver to the RX, and it will duplicate the signal to an IR Repeater on the TX. What this means is that, if you have a tv remote or another device that shoots an IR beam, you can control your tv with the remote while being far away from the tv! I use this too -- I have another, wired HDMI switch, so that I can switch between my 2 computers. Basically, I plug in this switch into the TX, and then plug my 2 computers into the switch. From there, I can work on one computer, and when I need to switch to another, I use my remote control from the 2nd floor of the house, it sends an IR signal to the HDMI Switch, and then it switches to my other computer! I also have a USB switch that works the same way, so that I can transfer keyboard and mouse control the same way too. Please note, you must buy your own HDMI Switch and USB Switch if you want to do what I am doing -- 2 computers connected to 1 TX. Or you could just buy 2 TX's, but that is unnecessary if both computers are right next to each other. 2 TX's are needed when the computers are in 2 separate locations far from each other. For example, computer 1 is on floor 1, computer 2 is on floor 2, and the RX is on floor 3. In that case, you are forced to buy an extra TX to accommodate. Now, these are all nice features, but there are some caveats. The keyboard and mouse is a nice touch, but please note that they don't quite work as normal once the signal is sent over the wire. For example, I have a trackpad mouse where 2 finger swipe up scrolls down normally. But when I do it while connected to the RX, 2 finger swipe up scrolls up! Very weird. And my keyboard has more ghost keys when connected to the RX compared to when it is plugged in directly to the computer. The IR feature is wonderful, but it is a little inconsistent. Sometimes, I point and press the button, and the signal transfers easily. Other times, the signal is inconsistent. They key is to have your IR Repeater (the one connected to the TX) placed directly facing whatever it is that you wish to shoot an IR signal to. And when I say facing, I mean that the rounded face should be pointing towards your target. Do it that way and you will get better results, but it still won't be 100% consistent. Some days, I have to press the button for 10 seconds before it registers. Normally, I would take away a star for that, but frankly, the keyboard and mouse feature makes up for this. Another annoying caveat -- you can plug in the keyboard and mouse to the RX side, but sometimes, it takes a second for the devices to register. It's almost as if you need to let them be plugged in for a minute or 2 before they get recognized. Same goes for the headphones. I also want to add, customer support is excellent. This is actually my second product, but the first one I had had issues with the USB port (for connecting keyboard and mouse). Tech support ([email protected], yes, even though the company is called timbootech, they are the same tech support as aimibo) responded quickly and sent me a replacement free! Since then, I have had little to no trouble, as mentioned above. Thank you again Beryl! So, in conclusion, this product is plain and simple, the best value option on Amazon, as of November 2023 when I got this. No other option had all the functionality in one product (except AIMIBO, but AIMIBO and TIMBOOTECH are the same company, so that doesn't count). And not a single option gave me the ability to plug in a keyboard and mouse. This product is high quality, it's cutting edge for what is available on Amazon, and it puts the competition to shame. I will only ever buy products like this from TIMBOOTECH/AIMIBO! I would encourage you to do the same too!

Easy to connect and works great!

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical that this product would work (without maybe being super-close with line of sight), given the mixed reviews many similar products have, but I took a chance on this one after seeing it had a lot of good reviews. To my delight, it worked on my first try! And that was even with a room in between the transmitter and the receiver, plus needing to go around a corner, including one (open) doorway--technically open-air all the way through but not line-of-sight. My original plan was to run in-wall HDMI cable between the two rooms, and maybe I will still do that some day -- but this is so easy I would have never even started that project (I already did one room) if I knew this would work so well. I have only tested with 1080p on the receiving end, since that is all my "receiving" device supports, though the specs say it should be able to handle 4K. My goal was to use this with an old "TV" (technically an old computer monitor) in my kitchen to mirror what is on the actual TV in my living room. For that, I added an HDMI matrix in between and put the transmitter on one of the outputs (and the TV on another). I did not have any problems with an Apple TV and HDCP -- another concern for me -- though it's possible my HDMI matrix handles that on its own and this transmitter/receiver is just piggybacking on that. I do notice occasional "stuttering" (freezing and restarting) of the video, but considering I'm using it well outside of the specs and how infrequent that is, i can't really complain. The color also seems a bit washed out compared to my source, but my "real" TV is a much better display, so this might not be the product, and it's definitely good enough for what I need. Adding to all of these good things, the device is fairly reasonably priced -- even a bit less than similar products with more questionable reviews. Power comes via USB-C (and a USB-A to USB-C cable for this is provided), so you can use a common USB power supply and not a bulky adapter as I've seen with some others. All in all, a great buy!
