The Ultimate Smartwatch for Outdoor Enthusiasts
Iโve been using the Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire Edition for a few months now, and Iโm absolutely blown away by its performance. As someone who enjoys hiking, trail running, and other outdoor activities, I was looking for a smartwatch that could handle both extreme conditions and provide high-end smart features. The epix Pro (Gen 2) ticks all the boxes! Design and Build: The 47mm Sapphire Edition has a robust yet sleek design. The Sapphire Crystal screen is scratch-resistant and incredibly clear, even in direct sunlight. The stainless steel bezel adds a premium feel, while the silicone strap is soft and comfortable, perfect for long outdoor adventures. Itโs built to last, and it looks great both in casual settings and on the trails. I appreciate how Garmin has managed to strike the perfect balance between rugged durability and elegant design. Display: The AMOLED touchscreen is simply gorgeous. The colors pop, and the resolution is sharp and clear, making it easy to read maps, stats, and notifications even in bright sunlight. Whether I'm checking my heart rate mid-run or navigating through complicated trail maps, the screen is always responsive and easy to use. The Always-On Display feature is particularly helpful for outdoor activities when you donโt want to keep tapping the screen to check the time or data. Performance and Features: The epix Pro is a powerhouse of a smartwatch, packed with features that make it perfect for athletes and outdoor adventurers. It tracks everything I need, from heart rate, GPS, and pulse oximeter, to more advanced metrics like VO2 max and sleep tracking. The multi-sport modes are a game-changerโI can easily switch between cycling, running, hiking, swimming, and even skiing. The built-in maps and route planning features are invaluable, especially on long hikes or while exploring unfamiliar trails. Battery life is another area where the epix Pro shines. Despite all the advanced features and the bright AMOLED screen, Iโve been getting around 10-12 days of battery life in regular use, and even longer in power-saving modes. For someone who likes to go off-grid, this is a huge plus! GPS and Navigation: One of the standout features for me is the advanced GPS functionality. Whether Iโm trekking through dense forests or trail running on rugged terrain, the accuracy of the GPS is top-notch. The turn-by-turn navigation is spot on, and I feel confident that I wonโt get lost, even in remote areas. The Garmin Explore app also allows me to plan my routes and sync them seamlessly to the watch, making it easy to follow even complex trails. Smartwatch Features: Aside from fitness and outdoor functions, the Garmin epix Pro offers all the smart features I need: notifications, music storage, and integration with apps like Spotify and Garmin Pay. Itโs also compatible with smartphone alerts, so I can get texts, calls, and app notifications directly on my watch without pulling out my phone. Durability: This watch is seriously tough. The 5 ATM water resistance means I can wear it in the shower or while swimming, and the military-grade durability ensures it can withstand drops, bumps, and extreme temperatures. Iโve used it in the rain, snow, and heat, and itโs held up without issue. Overall: The Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire Edition is the ultimate tool for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures or wants a high-performance smartwatch with all the bells and whistles. It combines stunning design, exceptional battery life, and a rich set of features that cater to both casual fitness enthusiasts and serious athletes. Whether Iโm out for a trail run, navigating a new hike, or just checking my health metrics, the epix Pro has become my go-to watch. If youโre looking for a premium smartwatch that does it all, this is definitely worth the investment!

Premium smartwatch w/excellent battery life
This was purchased for someone else, as a gift, and the overall feedback has been very positive. The battery life has been excellent, and one of the favorite features is that it doesnโt look like a typical fitness watch, making it easy to wear every day. The touchscreen is smooth and responsive, easy set up, and the overall performance has been great. It has all the features expected from a premium smartwatch and feels well made.

A Worthwhile Upgrade!
I recently upgraded from the standard Epix 2 to the new Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire Edition in the 51mm size, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. It was absolutely worth the upgrade! Hereโs why Iโm so impressed: The Screen Size & Durability: The jump to the 51mm display is noticeable and fantastic. The larger screen real estate makes maps easier to read on the fly and stats more accessible during workouts. Combining this with the gorgeous, virtually scratch-proof Sapphire display provides great peace of mind. The AMOLED screen remains unbeatable for clarity and vibrancy in all lighting conditions. LED Flashlight: The integrated multi-LED flashlight is a game-changerโitโs far brighter and more functional than expected, especially useful for early morning runs or finding things in the dark. The Overall Experience: While the Epix 2 was already a great watch, the Pro version feels more refined. The combination of the larger size, upgraded flashlight, and enhanced tracking capabilities makes this the ultimate multisport watch on the market. Verdict: If you're on the fence about upgrading or choosing between the Epix and Epix Pro models, I highly recommend the jump. Itโs an investment, but the quality of life improvements and robust feature set make the Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire Edition a superb piece of technology. I am very happy I did it!

Awesome watch
Battery lasts about a month, nice screen, very durable, lots of features. Been using it for months and very satisfied. Love the fact that you charge it every few weeks and the lantern is useful in many situations (in fact one of the features that I use most frequently).

42mm-band is likely too small for men, but perfect for women; Best watch face ever!
I've had Garmin watch (Vivoactive) for many years, but I couldn't love the face of it. I looked at multiple watches and considered all high-end ones (Forerunner, X1, etc.) because I was looking for the best watch face I can see. I have 42mm and I think this specific model is awesome for women. My hands are big for a woman, but still smaller than hands of most men. The model would be great for men too if you change the band. For most men the current bend would be too short. As I grow older and can see less, I feel I might be getting a similar watch with 47mm. I love the face. It's bright, doesn't scratch easily, just impressive!

Best Garmin watch I have owned.
I've owned several Garmin watches in the past. This one is by far the best. The features for the price are quite a value, the visibility of the display is incredibly good, especially If your eyes are getting older. The ECG is it great addition. The only thing I miss is the solar charging feature of other Garmin washes.

Strap Might Not Suitable for You
A week into wearing the Epix Pro Gen 2. So far so good. I used it to read or glance at messages, while keeping the phone in my pocket or while I drive. I also set a workout for kettlebell, and work well although I turn it inside my wrist to avoid clashing with it. Plan to used also for swimming but not too excited about it. I don't know if it holds well in water, when this is probably the most expensive watch I ever bought. Battery is great, long live. Charging is quick. The strap felt a bit 'hot' on my hand. I don't fell comfortable wearing it. I might changed it later.

Everything is great
I had an Apple Watch and couldn't stand it. But I can't keep this one away from me. Excellent. User-friendly. High quality. Everything is great. Thank you for making it with so much care.

Terrible presentation and strap
The watch itself is fine. However when you pay the best part of $1,000. For a watch you expect more. The box was cardboard and the watch holder is cheap cardboard. The strapโฆ. The strap on the 42mm is awful. Itโs like made for children it is tiny. So not only did I have the privilege of spending $1,000 on this watch I now have to find a longer strap which will cost another $50!! If I could return it I would. If you are thinking about buying this, may be think again. I would certainly say it is NOT worth the money!
