GOOD UNIT, WORKS AS IT SHOULD

I accidentally bought unsharpened pencils for my kids’ school supplies this year. Instead of returning and replacing the pencils, I decided I probably would benefit from having a decent pencil sharpener in my house anyway and purchased this. CONS: - Battery operated, which could add considerable cost over time. A short length of USB cord is included - but it’s really short. - The shavings container is small and fills pretty quickly (To be fair, I was sharpening dozens of pencils in one sitting. The container held about 12-pencils-worth of shavings from new flat unsharpened to full point). - Only one size. This can accommodate only standard size wood pencils. (This likely isn’t a con for most people, though I know larger barrel pencils are out there. This wouldn’t work for those.) PROS: - Durability. The sharpening mechanism is a rotating cutter - not a flimsy single blade. - Pretty quick for household needs. It seems to sharpen a pencil from brand new unsharpened flat to a perfect point in around 8 seconds. - Won’t over-sharpen. The motor will continue to run with applied pressure of a pencil, but there seems to be a guard in place that stops the pencil from continuing to grind, keeping you from wasting pencil length by sharpening too far. It’s a good, reasonably priced electric pencil sharpener for easy home use. Recommended.

Sharpens a perfect pencil pint, can only accept standard pencils, no way to insert thicker pencils

I bought one of these to give to my local brewery to use for trivia nights. They have a glass full of pencils for trivia, and had a need for a sharpener. I bought this one after reading some good reviews. and it is very inexpensive- $8 I was surprised at the power. We are using it with just batteries, and have yet to need to replace them after 3+ months of use ..

The only reason I gave it a one is because zero wasn't an option. I ordered this pencil sharpener for my classroom based on price and high customer reviews. It arrived on time but barely worked when I tried to sharpen a pencil. It would start and stop. I issued a return and asked for a replacement giving them the benefit of the doubt. The second one arrived two days later but wouldn't work at all. I made sure I had new batteries installed and even read the troubleshooting but seriously, how hard can it be to operate a pencil sharpener. Now I have two to return

Beets the cheap and one's that go dull or plug up or just don't sharpen even. It has a lot of power light and does a great job, fast.

So far so good it works well, sharp as easily colored pencils and regulars number two school pencils

Top loading . Does not wander like the front loaders.. It does not include an adapter cable. Battery operated. That's okay since I have lots of cables. Works like a charm. Replaces my ancient one which gave up the ghost! Really satisfied with the purchase.
