I like this one because of the feeling of the materials themselves - the gel is super soft. This thing gets VERY cold after a few hours in the freezer. It only stays cold for 10-15 minutes (variable), but I don't like to leave ice on any longer, so that works well for me.I ordered a medium; I am female, 5'5" @ 140 lbs, so my hands are not particularly large. This pack is a tad too snug for me when sliding on or off - if I were in any more pain or if there were any more swelling, I wouldn't be able to use it. Keep that in mind if you're deciding between medium or large.

I am a big fan of this!For those saying it doesn't last long... that's true BUT you're only supposed to do heat and ice for 10-20 minutes anyway! Google it! I would say it stays hot and cold for that time for the most part. 20 is probably stretching it, especially for the heat.It is super comfortable with the gel and material. I can still type and be on my phone with it on. It's a decent compression feeling even if the heat/cold is gone.It gets cold enough in the freezer pretty quickly. Definitely enough time for the hour break in between sessions that you should take.The only complaints are: *the thumb part gets REALLY hot. Hotter than the rest. So I can't really put my thumb in it at the start. (Which that area is what needs it the most, but it still gets it fairly well.) and *I wish it went down further to get more of my wrist, which is what also hurt during this stint of arthritis.Definitely say to give this a try! It looks much more comfortable than the other options, and I'm so glad I tried it!

A week ago I tried the parafin wax bath. That took over ten pounds of wax to cover my wrist. The glove supplied to go over the wax was too thin to help the area warm for longer time period.This gel band works great. Heats up Hot - too hot if you heat it for 40 seconds. Try it for 20 seconds. You can put it in the freezer to cool it too. I am confident that it will work for you to. One thing is that the medium size felt tight.

Really nice, but they don't last very long per freezer visit.

I’ve used it for a couple weeks and here’s the rundown.ICING: You’re supposed to put it in the freezer for 2 hours before using for icing, it doesn’t get crunchy or the painful coldness of standard ice packs. It being in a glove form is very convenient, I have tendonitis that requires frequent icing and I can do my physical therapy exercises with it on. It really only stays cold for 20 minutes tops so not good for long icing, but good for my purposes.HEATING: You’re supposed to put it in the microwave for 30 sec bursts till it warms up enough. It goes from blazing hot to neutral in about 10 minutes so there’s really only about 5 mins of comfortable heating at a time. I prefer just heating up a wet towel for heat instead.Overall, I only heat my wrist 1x/day so I don’t really use it for that. I ice my wrist 3-5x/day and it’s great for that, if you only need it for the heat you can skip this one.

Purchased for wrist and lower thumb joint. Handy to leave in freezer and then wear for a few minutes at a time doing other things, rather than stuck in a chair applying an ice pack. The strap helps compress as well. Worth the money.

The wrap fit well and was very comfortable. I needed it for severe arthritis in my thumb. The real problem with this unit is that it gets almost too hot after 20 seconds in the microwave and then only stays warm for about 5 min. I was hoping for something that would stay warm for at least 20-30 minutes so I was very disappointed. If I knew how quickly it cooled off, I wouldn't have ordered it.
